Rock Island vs Springfield 1911
I'm looking at purchasing a 4 inch 1911 for concealed carry in the next month or so. Does anyone here have any experience with the Rock Island model? I'm looking at a Springfield Champion as well and was wondering if the additional price it worth it is it mostly just the cost of getting a bigger nam...

Re: come on guys, seriously a 38 or 357 snub nose
Picked up a brand new Taurus Model 85 from Radford Pawn & Coin in October for $340. As you can see, mine's meant to be pretty, but the basic model would be even cheaper.

Let me list a few, Vietnam, Korea, Bosnia, Somolia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. With the exception of Vietnam and Korea, the US faced an unorganized and untrained force when compared to the US military. As a current member of the US military I can tell you that our opponents, particularly in Afghanistan...

Re: Anyone have any experience with a Sig Sauer p250?
I bought the compact model in 40 S&W back in June. Probably the best ergonomics of any gun I've ever encountered. I ended up selling it though because the slide wouldn't lock back a lot of the time after firing the last round. I looked this up and it appears to be fairly common.

WTB Snub nosed .38
I really want a snub nosed .38 revolver. I'd prefer it to be +P rated but thats not essential. Anyone have one they wouldn't mind parting with? If so please PM me with pics, a description, and your asking price.

Re: Please tell me our schools are better than this!
Someone please explain to me why I have my 7th grader coming home to me one day telling me about the "gay boy in her class"? Really? You're in 7th grade and you've decided that you're gay? you say that as if being gay is contagious and that your child might catch it. I don't know of any l...

Re: Please tell me our schools are better than this!
I graduated in 2008 from a public school where being white and middle class made me a minority. Other students often told me I was rich simply based on my parents owning a house with a yard. For me, high school is whatever the kids want to make of it. If a kid wants to learn, they will. Other kids a...

New Gun Store in Newport News?
I saw some grand opening signs over on warwick next to Luigi's, near Passage Middle School. Went to go check it out but the door was locked. It was a Sunday so that could have been why. Has anybody else checked it out yet?

Re: Hi Points
P95 was my first gun. That thing put out hundreds and hundreds of rounds without a single malfunction. Would trust it with my life any day. My buddy just got a sigma a few days ago, personally I like the way the P95 fits in my hand way better but thats just me

My advice is save up the extra $100 or so and get a Ruger P95. You'll get a HUGE quality jump for what is still a very affordable price

Bushmaster ACR's are beautiful. FN SCAR's are nice too. Then there's FAL's which is an older design but I think its nickname: "The right hand or the free world" is timeless

Re: Does carrying a full clip weaken the clips spring?
I'm confused. I was always told that leaving magazines loaded for long periods of time did indeed weaken the springs and that they would then often have trouble feeding the last few rounds. I was also told that the best way to avoid this is to have two sets of mags and alternate them with one anothe...

obama's a great president. the unemployment rate has steadily been going down. our nations problems when he came into office will not dissapear over night. he's not perfect but hey, reagan was also a major advocate of HUGE amounts of government spending.
