Re: Lost Magazine

You don't have to report it. It wouldn't hurt to report it, but someone may actually turn it in, so reporting it sounds good to me. I'm not worried to much about getting it back since it's a little .380 mag which costs $15 bucks. I got more concerned when I thought "hey my fingerprints are all...

Lost Magazine

In Virginia, does a lost loaded magazine need/should to be reported to police?
It's quite possible that it was lost in a store or store parking lot. Probably picked up by someone.
Do I or should I report it?

Re: Battlefield Guns and Ammo - Chesapeake, VA

I just picked up a 22 Rifle from him. Nice people. Very helpful.
The rifle was perfect at the range but I had some issues taking it down for cleaning.
Donald made things right!
It's a lot easier to stay local instead of hoofing it up to VB or Norfolk. Great to have a decent honest shop around!

Re: Norfolk officer justified to shoot man driving at him

I seems to me that individuals who are not "law enforcement" are expected to withdraw & run away from the identical situation. Hopefully I will never need to draw my weapon but I am saving a copy of the CA memo just in case.

Norfolk officer justified to shoot man driving at him

A police officer’s fatal shooting of a man who was breaking into cars in the Oakdale Farms/Denby Park area was justified because the suspect used his car like a weapon and drove at the officer, the commonwealth’s attorney has ruled. I wonder if the commonwealth attorney would rule the same if it we...

Re: Concealed carry in Colonial Williamsburg

Ok I just returned from Colonial WB. I searched EVERYWHERE, absolutley no gun buster signs anywhere. I looked believe me. No metal detectors either.
I did conceal carry as I always do. No issues whatsoever.
I did not see anyone open carry yet I did not see anything forbiding it.

Re: Concealed carry in Colonial Williamsburg

We visit Colonial Williamsburg a few times a year. The last time was near the beginning of this summer. I've never seen a sign posted anywhere. I haven't open carried there, but I do carry concealed when we're there. Never a problem. Newdovo, thanks for the update. I always conceal carry anyway. I'...

Re: Concealed carry in Colonial Williamsburg

So the OP never came back and confirmed that CW does not prohibit concealed carry on his 2009 visit. Since they are "private property, it is up to them. Years ago CW did not prohibit, but things sometimes change. So... Considering that his thread is over 2 years old, has anyone been there latel...

Re: North Carolina Concealed carry laws

I was not speaking to NC law, but the OP's (mis)understanding of VA law. Got it. But to clarify further, you can only drink while OC in VA, not CC. I dont think thats true. The law regarding drinking while CC merely states you cannot drink while in an establishment that serves alcohol...nor can you...

Re: North Carolina Concealed carry laws

Kind of negates the "reciprocal" agreement. I didn't know that town & county cound impose restrictions over state law. Does this apply only to out of state permits? If not it hardly seems worth the effort to get a ccw in that state.

North Carolina Concealed carry laws

I have a Virginia Concealed carry permit & I am going to take a trip into North Carolina to look at a motorcycle. This being the case I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction as to the laws there. I found some stuff on the NC law like you can't carry in a financial institu...

I am seeking a concealable .380 for my wife. I'd like a smaller frame pistol that is black in color if possible. The price range I'm comfortable with is 150.00 to 275.00 and must be reliable. I'll pay extra for night sights already installed. Thank you. I just finished an extensive (& I mean EX...

ISSC M22 22 cal I just picked one up for $199 new and out of the box I knew right away I liked the feel of the M22.
