Re: Occupy Wall Street kitchen staff protesting fixing food
Huh, I was surprised to learn that food was being provided for the protesters. I just assumed you would have to bring your own supplies in order to do something like this. I suppose it was folly to assume that the people who are attending this would provide for themselves, if they had that sort of a...

Now, economies of scale dictates I shrink the operation down to a realistic size... http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/build-storage-shed-1.jpg Thats roughly the size of the shed I have set aside for chickens, now, I could probably keep two pigs in there, maybe three if I'm willing to risk the hig...

Re: Parent arrested for brandishing gun at bus stop
Maybe I've been doing this for so long that my memory is beginning to fade, but could someone remind how open carry helps the cause of gun rights?. What am I missing here? :dunno: How is concealed carry helping the cause of gun rights? We can keep our freedoms as long as no one knows about it? I pe...

Re: I hate carrying a weapon.
I do not think a gun is the first line of defense against an unarmed attacker. Nor would many judges. But I'm not going to wait to find out if they can best me in a scuffle before pulling out my gun, I hate to break it to you but by that point it's too late. Not to mention the fact that if they are...

Well I'm listening to Atlas Shrugged - about 60 hours altogether...after the first 7 hours I highly recommend this to anyone. If you get the book I recommend the unabridged version. Dark humor over a very serious them and definitely applicable to our present day situation. Get this as a Christmas g...

Re: Can I be arrested if I...?
But going by the letter of the laws in MD, the only time you may transport a firearm is if (a few examples) you’re heading directly to and from a shooting range, gunsmith, FFL, gun store, hunting or simply passing through the state…no making stops along the way(s)…well, a gas station may be accepta...

Re: It's not enough that the dead are voting
Maybe with all these instances occuring the newly elected will try and revamp the laws to curtail this kind of thing. Why would they when these instances allowed them to get into office in the first place? Punishing those who are doing these things is all well and good but the people are still gett...

Re: It's not enough that the dead are voting
ok I'm sorry but what good are any of these articles doing? As far as I can tell a couple a people are getting a slap on the wrist but nothing else is being done. All the tainted votes are still there and these are just the instances we know about. IMHO I think we need to scrap it all and start over.

I think we need to leave it be as is or seek to have it scrapped altogether. Trying to get it changed for clarification is just asking to get stuck with an even more restrictive law.

I would credit this if I knew the source or who wrote it. Good for a chuckle or two I think... "There are lots of choices out there for carry guns, and because each gun is a personal choice your carry gun is a statement, whether or not you feel it is. It says something about you. 1911 What you...

Re: Maybe a new one for you all
I disagree with the strength comment. The force required to do so is not much. Recoil springs are only 10-15lbs usually. I don't know any woman that can't do that. Heck, some of the trigger springs are 8-12lbs on a DAO and you want them to operate that with one finger. However, it is true that at f...

Here's a better question that's sure to touch off a firestorm: Why OC if you can legally conceal carry?. Let's hear your feedback. I carry because I want to be able to defend myself, I OC to reduce the odds that I will have to (that and it's a pain for women to CC). I want my gun to act as much as ...
