Thanks for the info. The gun was thoroughly cleaned each time before it was fired with the same results. I'm going to contact Remington and have them fix it since it is still under warranty.

I know what you mean about 870's. I have used them extensively for the past 25 years and never experienced this problem.

I went through the same thing in the early 1980's. Went to college right out of high school , but after 2 years joined the Army. One of the best things I have ever done and I don't regret it for a second.

I am more inclined to believe Obama will use this in some way to advance his extreme anti-life agenda then use it for his extreme anti-gun agenda. But, time will tell and as zephyp says, "we need to be ready."
