Re: Ruger P95
Jason...are we taliking about the same gun? The P95 is definitely not huge...and its capacity being 15 in the mag and 1 in the chamber is up there with with many other hi-cap pistols. I 'll grant that it isn't the best CC option but not the worst. Most people who have Ruger's would call them "o...

Re: Concealed Carry Techniques & Tips?
As far as concealment goes you could try the ol' tried and true photographers vest...might be some elastic in that though

Ze...wow you do know your stuff and are a patient man. If that pistol was mine it would have gone back in a heartbeat..due to my ignorance of needed fixes and also it just really would have pissed me off. I gotta say it, but in no way is this a dig at you...I've done this before as well. Inspect all...

Re: Wichester silver tip ammo
I carried the 110gr load in my snub .38 for years...recoil was more than acceptable for me. Reported penetration was about 8-12 inches in ballistic gel and expansion was reliable. I'd use them in a .38 if I had one. The 145gr .357 magnum load was stout but not too bad...reportedly good penetration a...

Re: Ruger P95
Well Bill got slammed but the whole industry was scrambling at that point...Bill took the point for several big comapanies to include S&W and Winchester who were/are part of SAAMI and all agreed to a 15 round capacity which was changed to 10 as we all know. But I won't make excuses...he said som...

Every Day Carry, what do you pack daily?
Though I don't carry my handgun daily I do carry a "tactical folder" lol...aka a pocket knife. Here's a pic of my Kershaw Blackout. I also carry a swiss army knife on my keychain. I'm looking to get an airweight .38 and will carry more often then...the Ruger I have is just a little too big...

Re: Knife forum?
(Grin) I'm not suggesting bringing a knife to a gun fight, though some may. I love knives as tools and for their esthetics...was just wondering if we could introduce a forum for those of us who carry a blade too. I carry a Kershaw Black-Out, serrated with a black nitride coating...nice little knife....

When I get by the area I will definitely drop by Sharpshooters and also head down the street to the crispy Shooter's Paradise.
Thanks for the info RocKor.

Re: Ruger P95
I have one that I really like a great deal, no FTFs even during break in, very accurate, great price 330.00 and it came with two 15 round SS mags, most soft shooting 9mm I've owned. Ambidextrous controls which is great for a lefty like me. Was wondering if others liked theirs as much as I do mine.

Re: do aluminum framed guns have a troubled past?
Modern aluminum alloy is very tough stuff. I have owned several S&W .38 airweights and have used them plenty...to include a goodly amount of +P rounds. My only concern at one time was what seemed to be some topstrap cutting above the forcing cone, but after close examination, the corrosion was t...

Not sure if I missed it or not but was wondering if we could add a forum for blade talk...anything from the blade that might be on your nightstand to the one you clip on for daily carry to one that a hunter may carry in the field. Thanks

Howdy there folks...I am currently in Bloomington IN but was born and raised in NOVA...lived there for 37 years. I am married, have a daughter and just one handgun at the moment...had to sell the rest for bills. I own a newish Ruger P95 in 9mm...and might be moving back after my wife completes lawsc...
