Re: It finally happened, I had to pull.

three and a half years later, I finally got my gun back from the cops.
Had a heck of a time finding where it was and who's responsible for it.
The guy who arrested me changed departments 2 years ago. Now he works down closer to Richmond I think.

Re: Minute Man Rifle Course Review

I just did this course a few weeks ago.
Damn good stuff. I learned a lot. not so much about rifle shooting but more about carbine tactics. Was glad I took it.

Re: I signed up with a pro class in Culpepper.

BUMP! Since the concealed class back in May I have had two more with FPF. One was a vehicle course. We murdered a Geo. And last weekend I did an advanced course with guest instructor Darryl Bolke, who is apparently world famous. I learned a lot about 1st Responder stuff. It was worth the time and mo...

Virginia State Police made a final decision

Sig P320. https://loadoutroom.com/50165/virginia-state-police-selects-sig-sauer-p320-pistol-the-move-to-modern-modular-design-continues/ Article is more of a fluff piece rather than hard hitting journalism. But they point out the main attractiveness is its modular so individual officers can make it ...

Re: New Indoor Range in Manassas?

I am such a dumbass. I heard about ESS but never got around to visiting before and I REALLY REALLY wish I had. That place is friggin AWESOME! Ultra modern, fancy-ass 21st century shooting range. Nice big store and cafe, very helpful staff, good range officers, LOADS of parking, and right here in fre...

I did the training course today. It was excellent. John Murphy knows his stuff and is an excellent teacher.
I highly recommend the Foundation for Concealed Carry. Its good.

Casey Stevens. He charged a reasonable fee and worked like a champ to get the charges dropped.

Re: It finally happened, I had to pull.

I forgot to post about this earlier. Sorry. I went back to court after the new DA decided to charge me again. This time he agreed I did nothing wrong and dropped the case entirely. As of February I am truly free. Given all the money this has cost me I'd like to track down Christopher Keith Dunham an...

I signed up with a pro class in Culpepper.

https://www.fpftraining.com/pages/contact FPF training has decent reviews and after the incident at Hooters I thought maybe I needed it. Coming up on the 5th so I will let you guys know how they run their operation and if I liked it. If you have any questions you want me to ask them in person please...

I'll be driving down to Charlottesville to donate blood.

Probably early tomorrow morning. If you guys have some free time and arent experiencing any health issues, please consider refilling your local blood bank. Any time theres a major catastrophe the hospitals tend to use up whatever they have on hand, and that means restocking is eventually necessary. ...

Re: Pocket pistol must be holstered?

The law does not require a holster, but good firearm practice sure does. In fact the rules for concealed carry in Virginia are actually pretty loose, nor does Virginia require very thorough training to get a permit. Oh, and I used to carry an LCP cuz it was small and I barely noticed the thing in my...

Besides any of these places: https://www.google.com/search?q=custom+leather+work+manassas+va&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 ...you might check around about Boot & Shoe Repair shops. You know what? Thats my bad. I should have asked for places that you guys have actually visited and shopped at. Obviou...

Where can I get custom leather work done in Manassas?

I bought a decent little knife from Hoffman Richter and while I like it very much the included sheath is crap.
I need something sturdy and comfortable and unfortunately I cannot find a good sheath specifically for this blade.

I never considered the possibility of a hipster Fudd

but if you wanna see one, watch the new Cabin Fever.
Perfect example of why nobody should purchase a gun without loads of classroom and range training beforehand.

Re: It finally happened, I had to pull.

Actually, I just got plenty of info for Free from Gwinnett county. Looked the dude up by name (the one who threatened me) and it turns out he had a murder charge, which held on for years and finally he was convicted of manslaughter and did about 4 or 5 years for it. He was 20 when he killed someone....

Re: It finally happened, I had to pull.

Actually the learning experience is quite worth it. Now I know how badly the PW courts are run, and I have a fair idea how much you can get screwed without a lawyer.

Re: It finally happened, I had to pull.

UPDATE: A new prosecutor came on the job late last year. He's a little more competent than the previous one, and decided to re-charge me right before Christmas (barely making the one year cut-off for misdemeanors). Had to go thru all the nonsense all over again with my attorney. Again they tried to...

On an M16, what is the purpose of the magazine fence?

I cant see a function other than it provides more texture to the weapon.

Re: It finally happened, I had to pull.

I carried yesterday. First time in over 6 months. Had a couple training courses for pistol defense.
Felt weird. The P238 is a little heavier and fatter.

Incidentally, the cops still havent returned my LCP. Good thing I dont need it.
