Most Mav 88 parts will interchange with the Moss 500. Differences: safety switch is in the trigger guard and not tang mounted, and the plastic forend is molded onto the steel forend slide. Barrels, buttstocks, and most parts and accessories will interchange.

My wife has a Mossberg 500 youth 12ga. For someone with short arms, a "youth" model should fit right. Most buckshot loads are made for hunting and try to give the longest range possible which results in more recoil, but there are defence loads with very manageble recoil, even in 12ga. The ...

By the markings you described, I don't think it is that old. Likely made in the past few decades. Also, 20ga made for modern pressures. That's what I'd guess, but I don't have the gun in front of me. Google "Spanish proof marks" and see what you can find. If you determine the gun not to be...
