Their FFL transfers have gone up to $50 + the $2 state police fee. OTOH, their website says that they will price match and that there are no transfer fees for in-house purchases.

Let's see...Andromeda Strain, The Stand, etc. - I think that we've seen this movie. No security/containment system is infallible. All it takes is one mistake or escape, and we're off to the races. As kelu surmises, Obamerica will likely host the deadliest outbreaks. Hubris always ends in disaster.

Re: Laws about vehicle carry with prohibited passengers
Well, that's the thing... the former AG's opinion has no weight at all in this case. The current AG's opinion is now the relevant opinion. Time to have another opinion requested. I wouldn't ask the current anti-freedom AG anything if I suspected that the anti-gun answer I am likely to get is one I'...

Re: Help Finding a Long Range Scope
I also recommend looking at Leopold Mark 4 LR/T Front Focal scopes as well. The Army uses the 3.5-10x40 on the M14 EBR. That's a great tactical choice for 7.62/.308, accurate and rugged, and the scope is in your price range. If price were no object, the nicest scope I've ever used was a Hensoldt fro...

Re: Anti's protest VCDL booth and assault a VCDL member
Here's what I posted on the VCDL FB page: I would have had her charged. I appreciate the generosity shown by turning the other cheek, but not holding the anti's accountable for their behavior just perpetuates the problem. IMO, it's like a kid who's behaving badly. Keep ignoring the bad behavior, an...

Re: I'm finally an AR owner!!
The U.S. Army beat you to that one. EBR = Enhance Battle Rifle = refurbished M14 w/new furniture and nice Leopold scope. They are issued to designated marksman at the squad level for longer range capability in SW Asia.KaosDad wrote:It's an EBR! (Evil Black Rifle).

Re: Attorney General approved handguns
Hello, everyone. Where would one locate the state approved list of handguns? Welcome to the Free Commonwealth of VA. Others have answered you basic question. VA is an open carry state (no permit required) as well as a must-issue concealed carry state. A friend of mine who is relatively new to VA bo...

Re: IWLA Arlington - Fairfax (new member)
I love my Remington 1187, 28" bbl. The lightweight barrel makes it easy to swing, and it points naturally. Mine came with 3 or 4 chokes, I forget. I shoot trap with the Improved choke. It's not just a starter, its the only trap gun I've ever needed.

The is exact wording is is must able to be seen by "common observation". Your call on how you define that but I take no chances and carry OWB completely exposed. A lot of folks at VCDL Lobby Day were open carrying IWB with no problems. I remember reading a forum post where someone was arr...

1. We are planning on a 50, 100, and 200 yard rifle range. Would this suit your needs? That's a good minimum. I'd like to see 300 yards with longer if possible, but understand that land is at a premium here. Would definitely like to be able to use bump-fire stocks and select fire at least at 50 yar...

Re: Thoughts on the NRA's presser?
NRA fumbled the football. GOA did a much better job. So did the trainers on PoliceOne. A cop in every school is absurdly expensive. Dave Grossman, Mas Ayoob, Rick Fairburn, and Israel all have more cost-effective and practical approaches. Arm teachers, administrators, and other trusted civilians (i....

For the Kimber Pro Carry, I'd recommend the Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. I've use VM2's for all my M1911 carry pistols. Very comfortable and stable for all day carry.

I've never had an issue with them, but their selection tends to be limited.Reverenddel wrote:Wal-mart has good deals, but as to ordering online... Has any one used AmmoMan.com? I hear good/bad/indifferent stories...
