Re: New From Chester

Re: Which branch of the armed Forces has the toughest training?

There are certainly alot of factors that come into play. The reference here is from BCT data collected but it carries on into the operatioanal forces as to. Today's generation for the most part is nowhere near as active as they used to be as say 15-20 yrs ago. Alot of the new boot's are fresh from h...

Re: Which branch of the armed Forces has the toughest training?

Bottom line with any military training is the mentality of the instructors, how well they can read people, and how far they stretch the training ROE. The toughest training can be crap without those things coming together...and too bad that alot of the standard combat training today has to be modula...

Re: How will government shutdown affect you?

Us military types will still be working....but without pay. Hmm, makes me think about the guys down range being shot at; the last thing they need to to be worried about is whether or not their wives will be able to pay the mortgage. We are still working, just getting half a paycheck ( I just checke...

Re: Suggestions about Molle Vest

no problem there either, you should be able to use a MOLLE repair kit and some Nylon Webbing to make an extender to work if it doesn't fit. I have done that to allow for wearing body armor that way I didn't have to move the straps because I tape them up to avoid getting snagged on stuff . MOLLE gear...

Re: Suggestions about Molle Vest

I would suggest a rack type system. I have used them with and without IBA and packs I prefer the low profile ones. They are not as bulky and easier to work in confined spaces and the open back is ideal for use with a pack. They have ones configured with permanent pouches and with MOLLE webbing so yo...
