Re: Norfolk County Rifle Range
I was a member for one year. At the end of my year I opted not to renew, as there were simply too many slack-jawed good ol' boys there for me to stomach the place any longer. I met some good folks there, but a few truly bad apples spoiled the place for me. There are some people there whom I find to ...

Re: Hurricane Earl - Inbound
I rode down to Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills for the first time since moving here. I really liked it down there, it would be a shame to see it get torn up.
Coming from Florida, though, I'm a veteran of Hurricanes. I've been through Charley, Frances, Jean, Dennis, Wilma, and many Tropical Storms.

Re: Dryfire Glock 17 - OK without snapcaps?
Your Glock will be good to go for years and years of dry fire practice. The armorer's manual indicates that dry firing them is perfectly ok.
If it gives you piece of mind, then get snap-caps. As others have already said, they definitely won't hurt. However, they aren't necessary.

Headed to Hampton Roads from FL in a few weeks
Hi All, I'm relocating from Jacksonville, FL to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area in a few weeks (No, I'm not in the Navy!). I spend a lot of time during the day on gun forums, and I also run a Jacksonville area gun forum (jaxshooting.com). Anyhow, I figured if I'm moving to a new area I should track ...
