Re: Where to buy AAC silencer in NoVa?

If you don't mind going farther south, you can find transfer rates much lower than those. $50 is about standard around Richmond.

Re: What would you value this AR at?

Would I be putting him (my friend) in an awkward or compromising situation by asking him to run it? I really wouldn't want to do that. Perhaps I could just check the site below that I saw referenced on another gun site? http://www.stolenweapon.com/Stolen-Gun-Search-Startsearch.html NCIC access is s...

It's another good reason not to have children, or allow them into your home. I know I don't.

Re: Long gun purchase with FL license

There may be state laws that prohibit this however. My understanding is that Florida has a contiguous state law, so an attempt to buy as a Florida resident in VA would be denied by NICS. Either wait for PCS orders, or, if you're claiming to already be a VA resident (which you can do), acquire suita...

Re: What would you value this AR at?

I will be receiving the serial numbers tomorrow to have them run to ensure its status. How do you intend to "ensure its status"? Unless you're a cop, or bosom buddies with one, you can't have a NCIC check done on the serial number. He is valuing the AR at $1,600 - $2,200 in our trade. Unl...

Re: Subprime crisis Part II getting ready to start

I think I'm more interested in the consequences of the coming tidal wave of municipal bankruptcies. I have no idea what those consequences might be, but I can't see scores or hundreds of cities, counties, even states going bankrupt and it not being pretty damn dire.

Good to see Kirsten Gillibrand is still cute. Doubt it will last in that den of douchebaggery, most of their faces look warped by the evil of that place....that Roy Blunt fellow looks like he was stuck in a dimensional shift when that picture was taken. Going over to the Dark Side as Gill...

Re: US Refuses to sign

It seems it's not so much a refusal to sign as a delay to "study" the proposed treaty. Some other info indicates they weren't able to come up with a draft treaty everyone agreed on, but I don't know if that's accurate or not.

.mil has to have a manual safety and an exposed hammer. There's no chance of a striker-fired pistol being adopted without a major cultural shift at the Pentagon.

I hope I'm not adding to the confusion but its my understanding that you cannot purchase a handgun if you are under the age of 21 from a FFL or a private sale.Under 21,can't puchase period. If you are gifted a handgun under the age of 21, you may own it,and if you are 18 or over (not a minor) you ma...

Looks like we know what the main target is now: magazines. Schumer/Lautenberg amendment to cybersecurity bill to ban possession, transfer of magazines that hold more than ten rounds. The bill is scheduled for debate and a vote next week. Knowing the Senate, I wouldn't bet against it. Will it pass th...

Re: George Allen sells us out before he's even elected

The reality is that Obamacare will never be undone. This. I doubt it'll even be undone in name only (there's that whole "repeal and replace" business, of course - it won't be repealed, but what are they wanting to replace it with? Why do they even want to replace it at all?), so it'll be ...

Unless the spring is poorly made, it'll outlive you, as long as you don't abuse it. Don't stretch it, don't smoosh it, don't hit it with a hammer or a blowtorch, and it'll be fine. I'd be more worried about the feedlips spreading, especially on a plastic magazine or a really thin sheet metal one. I'...

George Allen sells us out before he's even elected

But apparently he's the only Republican who's "electable". He's always been unfriendly towards us, why should we vote for him? Not even Kaine disrespects us enough to come out and say it now - he'd push it in office but he's afraid enough of us not to come out and say it. Allen doesn't fea...
