Hence the reason why I am moving back into Virginia. I am choosing to take a 1hr drive instead of a 10min commute. I really do not like this state for so many reasons.

Reverddel had a very good point. Mix it up. Mylar bags with the oxygen absorbers is what i use along with a handheld vacuum sealer as well. I have learned, like someone stated earlier, is that purchasing/using larger bags though less time consuming and a little cheaper do not make sense in some case...

Anyone have any larger diameter pvc sitting around?

Oh definetely use mylar. Yeah I was kind of thinking about the cost as well. Some of the larger pipe makes it less cost efective than 5gallon buckets. Maybe I will build a set then post it.

Just wondering if anyone here has used 6", 8", or larger pvc pipe for storage of food, ammo, etc.? Pros/Cons? Any good plans for building and storing? I have been kicking around a few ideas and have a few reasons as to why I am thinking PVC. Just wondering what you guys think?
