I got pulled over the other night, had my firearm on my hip, (don't think he saw it) officer ran my plates I'm sure, then of course my drivers license, never said a word.

I lend my rifles out to friends quite regularly, I am not aware of any law prohibiting it. I could, however, be wrong.

Well, coming back to this... I got pulled over tonight for supposedly "exceeding the speed limit" but the officer only "thought" I was exceeding the speed limit.

That aside, I did not announce my loaded & holstered weapon, he did not ask, and it never came up.

Safe my ASS! Last time I was down that way for work (restaurant demo) I was about 1/2 mile from a gunfight.

I don't think it's too much to ask that since my families took the time to come through the proper channels (Ellis Island, etc) everyone else should have to obey the same rules.
