Re: 4oS&W first hand comparisons
Well of all things, my GM at work offered me a Rock Island 1911 officers model for a real nice price. He's a former texas state trooper and has used this part time as a carry weapon. He doesn't like shooting it anymore because he said the sights are too small and father time has done a number on hi...

Re: 4oS&W first hand comparisons
Where's the love for Sig? I carry a Sig P229 almost every time I leave the house. Shoots like a dream, I've put probably close to 1000 rounds down the pipe on top of whatever it had when I bought it from DeGoff's and never a single FTF with hollow / solid rounds. Ken (master Sig armorer or whatever ...

Re: 17 HMR Ammo Failure
I have since bought new ammo and have not had a problem with it. I ended up sending the rifle back to Volquartsen as after talking with them I learned that there was a "recall" of sorts. They were offering to convert it to a .22LR or they had a fix for the .17HMR that they said would solve...

Ruger: Up 51%
Smith & Wesson: Down 5.5%
Glad I took a minority investment in SWHC, and put the majority of my money in Ruger.
Hold until July to avoid the short term trading penalty, or sell now is a huge struggle. SWHC remains as a long term investment irregardless of the market price.

Off to Italy
Going to Italy for some much needed R&R. If the world falls apart while I am gone (I rate probability = high) then someone let me know so I can just remain there.
Cheers

I got pulled over the other night, had my firearm on my hip, (don't think he saw it) officer ran my plates I'm sure, then of course my drivers license, never said a word.

I lend my rifles out to friends quite regularly, I am not aware of any law prohibiting it. I could, however, be wrong.

Re: POLL: Inform LEO of your CHP?
Well, coming back to this... I got pulled over tonight for supposedly "exceeding the speed limit" but the officer only "thought" I was exceeding the speed limit.
That aside, I did not announce my loaded & holstered weapon, he did not ask, and it never came up.

Re: Immigrants heading to Washington to push reforms
I don't think it's too much to ask that since my families took the time to come through the proper channels (Ellis Island, etc) everyone else should have to obey the same rules.
