I think either rifle would serve your purposes. But i would give serious consideration to the .308 round. Its great if your out on a ranch, or in afghanistan or iraq, but in an urban law enforcement environment its just a liability. That round will keep going through three houses. and that extra sec...

haha, that deputy wasnt very bright. Actually, if he was moving dirt around and it was outside the curtilage of his house, that means it was in open view and theres no reasonable expectation of privacy. Hey, in my new job we just qualified with M4 s that were equipped with RRA Two Stage match, it was weird at first, but when you learned where the reset was..., man was it quick. It convinced me to spend the 90- 100$ and put it on my personal AR.
