Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

There have been several referances to "not knowing what I had done". In this post I am going to air the details of the event. On December 1, 2009. I returned home from work early to spend time with the wife and kids. I typically work well past dark and was looking to spend some time with a...

Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

Folks, this is a devistating blow to me. My peers and other family members are of the opinion that this should not bother me in the least. They dont take serious the security I felt knowing that should I ever need to defend the family, whether in the home or out, I would be able to without question....

Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

IANAL but a guilty plea leaves no doubt, NOLO leaves that doubt of guilt as you neither admit or deny the charge. Will be interested to see how a lawyer will handle this for you.[/quote]

IANAL?? What does this stand for?

Thank you,
Harry

Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

Well I have taken the advice of the Forum members. Utilizing the list of "gun friendly" attorneys. I have emailed one requesting retainage and services or counsel at the minimum. All of the posts have been helpfull, if not freightening. If my public defender had made me aware of all of the...

Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

Thank you to each and every one who have given me their thoughts and knowledge on the subject. The reason I have not posted the family member is primarily that I am ashamed of my actions. I have never been in trouble with the law and as a matter of fact have spent years in the Army as a 95B Military...

Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

This has helped but now I am really ferightend about the outcome. I had a public defender due to the fact that I was unable to afford one of my choosing. He was young which is not a big deal, but during our conversations about the case I could tell that he was very happy with the current administrat...

Re: CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

I am hoping the same thing. I just dont know all of the legal aspects of returning it. One of the things that I failed to mention was that during the first court apperance, I pled no contest. They mentioned the PPO in place, and stated that as long as I stayed out of trouble for two years it would b...

CCW in limbo. I think. Need help understanding.

Ladies and Gentelmen, On December 1st 2009 I was involved in an altercation with a family member. Authorities arrived, arrested me. This is the first time in my life that I have been on the otherside of the Blue line. During the processing one of the officers asked me if I possesd a CCW, I replied i...

Re: Guncrafter Industries GI .50

GI50 Virginia License plate traveling I-64 between Charolettsville and Richmond. Sat. March 6th 2010. To be clear, the tag read "GI50". Does anyone here know of an owner with a plate like this? Not looking for names.
