Re: Why We Need to Welcome Liberals to the Cause of the 2A

People will abuse the system if there are no rules...history has proven that time and time again. People will abuse the system even if there are rules... history has proven that time and time again. You do know that there are rules against rape, robbery, and murder, right? Yet people still do it. Y...

Re: Why We Need to Welcome Liberals to the Cause of the 2A

dem4guns, Your first mistake was to argue with Gunderwood. Your second mistake was to continue arguing with him. And your third mistake was believing he'd give up before you. When it comes to arguments, especially about economic or political philosophies, this is his house, he sets the rules, and th...

Re: Why We Need to Welcome Liberals to the Cause of the 2A

Gunderwood, I suggest focusing on the positive rather than "statistics" that divide us. The past two Democratic governors have supported gun rights in Virginia. My experience is the majority of Democrats support gun rights, but want "reasonable" regulations. No they didn't. They...

Re: My daughter wants to shoot competitively

Smaller is probably better so you don't put her off with recoil, but I would stress that she should choose (within reason). What does she want to compete in? What appeals to her? Much like a CC piece, if you don't take pride in it you won't put in the hard work to maintain it, practice, etc. I'd re...

Interesting that Comp-Tac leads the holster category by a wide margin. They do make good stuff.

On the other side, the grieving father of the murdered 9-year-old girl tells Fox News that his daughter would not want more restrictions placed on Americans based on her death (this is a tough, tough interview to listen to): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rj47lB1a-0Y Jesus, that is rough to listen ...

Re: ACLU wants to protect gun rights...

I'm finding myself agreeing with gunderwood on this one. This is a natural right, not one given to us by a government. Therefore, since Mr. Smith--the dude that the ACLU's backing--is a legal resident, the ACLU is correct in backing him. Therefore, why should we, as pro-2A folks, oppose Mr. Smith's...

Re: Firearm in car at work

doubt you'd face any criminal charges, but yes they could fire you if they found out And they could fire you just because they think you are hiding a gun in the car... or they could fire you because they just don't like you owning guns period... or they could fire you and not give a single reason. ...

Re: Ruger is building a "Scout" rifle!

That's an excellent explanation. So wouldn't something like a Trijicon AccuPoint scope in the 1-4X range be the ticket for this scope then? They are a bit cheaper than the ACOG, have the same BAC feature and illuminated reticle, and would require no special mounting rail.

Re: Ruger is building a "Scout" rifle!

gunderwood, I have to defer to your opinion as your experience far exceeds mine... and you're obviously a solidly bright guy. I'm just curious. Why do you think an ACOG would be good for this rifle if there are no ACOGs available with the proper eye relief. Isn't the point of the "scout" s...

Re: New Ruger LC9

Well, I can't imagine that MA approves and certifies guns before they start shipping - I would imagine they tend to drag their feet on these issues. Kahr developed an external safety version of the PM-9 specifically so their own employees (Kahr's are made in MA) could own the weapons they produce. ...

Re: Ruger is building a "Scout" rifle!

It does sound like an interesting rifle. But would an ACOG really fit the purported use of this weapon for longer distances?

I really did believe that I could just put it in the cart and continue shopping. (silly me). It looked no more conspicuous than a box of curtain rods. That's because while they want your $$$, they don't trust you. I'll pay a few bucks more to buy somewhere else, from now on. Yup. I send money to th...

The only problem here is that you should have been boycotting Walmart already. They are in cahoots with Bloomberg and his MAIG group. They video tape all firearm purchases and refuse sales in cases where the background check results are delayed past 3 days though the sales are lawful. http://patriot...
