Re: New AR Owner - Red Dot/ Other Recommendations?
Marc, Thanks much. If I understand all this correctly, I think I am going to get the MAG408 4.1" rail, mount the grip behind the rail close to the mag, and go to the range. I think the 4.1" will give me enough room to attach the switch to the light and mount the pressure activation on a sh...

Re: How to Extend Stock on AR?
Mine, including the pad, is 11.25 inches from the butt plate. I think I will just leave it as is for now. So far, I have only put 15 rounds through the gun over a year ago when I bought it, so I really don't know / remember how it will feel when I really start practicing....(soon).
Thanks guys

Re: New AR Owner - Red Dot/ Other Recommendations?
OK....since I know nothing, as Sgt Schultz would say, if I take your advice, then this problem is solved for only the price of a short rail..............and maybe a remote switch....not sure? http://www.surefire.com/remote-switch-assembly-for-x300.html What are your thoughts on needing /using this s...

Re: New AR Owner - Red Dot/ Other Recommendations?
Wouldn't that bring the grip further back towards the rear? I am trying to avoid that, since I have long arms.

How to Extend Stock on AR?
New to a ARs. Have long arms and want to extend stock an inch or two. Looking for suggestions. Thanks https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/41a0/rro1yzbjmn582j34g.jpg I don't know why the image shows up sometimes and sometimes it does not. I wonder if its a MediaFire Hosting issue? Should be a pic of th...

Re: New AR Owner - Red Dot/ Other Recommendations?
Marc,
Thanks much for the details. This makes a lot of sense to me. If I mount to the bottom, what do I do about left hand grip? (I am right handed)

Re: How do I Contact a Board Administrator?
Yes. I have viewed the post 5 or 6 times. Sometimes the pics are there and sometimes they are not. Maybe it has to do with MediaFire hosting. Glad I am not the only one with insomnia!

Re: How to Legally Acquire AR?
Thanks for all your comments. I am going to talk to an FFL or two here in VA Beach and see what they have to say. From comments here and on another forum, though, I do not think him buying the AR or me buying it and gifting it to him anytime soon, or at least while he is a NY resident, is going to h...

Re: How to Legally Acquire AR?
Yep, I was thinking along the same lines. Buy it for myself. Let him shoot it when he is here. And I might decide at some point down the road to sell it.............maybe to him.

How to Legally Acquire AR?
I am a VA resident and my son is a NYC resident. He wants to acquire an AR, even if I have to keep it here for him. Can anyone suggest a legal, not too complicated way to accomplish this? We want to avoid NY / NYC's requirements if possible.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Kimber Ultra Carry SS Corrosion / Remora Holster
Kimber charged me $280 to re-finish the whole thing. This is the last time I buy Kimber...what's the point in paying for SS and Alum? My SS Rugers have never done this.....in over 30 yrs.
