I had the opportunity to become a member at Isaak Walton and shot in the pistol competition on last Saturday. Met some great people and can now avoid the sweeping at the public range. It will be a welcomed pleasure to hear the sound of lead on steel again.

I've searched Google and VGOF, but I can't find any firearms training that is going on in Virginia. I am not interested in the basic NRA courses, but something just a little more intense. If anyone knows where I can find practical pistol or carbine courses, I would certainly appreciate your help.

Signs are posted for paper targets only. Last time there I lasered and it's 115 yards to the berm if memory serves. That sucks, but you certainly can't beat the price. This is so true. I know many who believe their gun is the first line of defense, but never consider a good knife or flashlight, not to mention simply escaping the area. But that is a problem for some, because they don't care for their bodies. If the body is tired, the mind will not function properly...

I guess all forums pick up on garbage and run with it. There seems to be enough real stuff to worry about, rather than chasing ghosts.
