Re: POLL: Inform LEO of your CHP?

If I am carrying I am not going to say anything unless asked about it. If I am not carrying I will mention it everytime, that way they know I am a law abiding citizen.

Re: Man Sentenced to Three Years for Making Illegal Uzi's

Because VA is a Title theory state, in regards to ownership, it is pretty easy to show a deed and a piece of mail that was received and dated within the last week. That would be more than enough to establish proof, although a BOF that states that both parties are residents of VA, that is signed by b...

Re: Man Sentenced to Three Years for Making Illegal Uzi's

Yes indeed. A couple of key points on the private sale thing... 1) Make sure your firearm has proper serial numbers 2) Require that the purchaser shows you a valid Virginia Driver's License 3) Make sure that your firearm is LEGAL TO OWN both federally and int he Commonwealth. Are there any others? ...

Not good publicity for Virginia, even though it was a private company.

Re: Beware of Virginia Law on Firearms!

The party was on College Campus? Then doesn't he fall subject to the rules regarding firearms on school property? My understanding is that it is up to the private college whether it will allow or not allow firearms on campus. State law does not dictate whether private schools are gun free zones. I ...

I hope it wasn't the kids gun, he will blame himself for the rest of his life if it was, when the adults should have checked things before loading up the gear.

Re: New member from Seattle? What gives?

I will answer one of your questions since I moved here from WA. Virginia recognizes WA's CHP. I still have two more years left on my WA permit so I haven't gotten my VA yet.
The few police officers who I have talked to don't know much about it, but I haven't had any problems yet.

Overall a good seller. He was able to meet up with me on my side of the state which was great. The only downside was that the gun looked a lot better in his pictures than it was actually in, It hadn't been cleaned since fired using Wolf ammo, so I had to put some work into it to clean it up. It was ...
