Welcome! Retired Army here, in Front Royal. I don't shoot competitively, having spent most of my career at the range, but like to keep current, and am at the stage of teaching my daughters how to shoot >.22 firearms.

Were you CC/PJ/TACP, or got into to shooting on the side?

I just shoveled my driveway, and though I didn't measure, I would say 18" here in Front Royal....give or take.

Thankfully, I front loaded my hours this week, so with the OPM closure today and possibly tomorrow, I get a five day weekend.

This is excellent news! I have to renew mine before the end of June. Does anybody know when this might get through the House?

That is a truly awful story, but I don't see where it is any metric for prohibiting gay marriage, when those same events are perpetrated by married heterosexuals as well.

I've been there a couple times with my neighbor, who visits religiously. Since I commute from Reston, I usually stop in at Virginia Arms in Manassas or Stonewall in Winchster. More gun porn to look at than in Linden, but the Linden folks are very helpful and will order anything you need.

CheaperThanDirt was the standout that I remember for hiking prices on 5.56/2.23 and 30rd PMAGs to absurd levels. They don't get any of my money.

Yep, I just finished reading the specs v. FCC....no matter...I got them primarily for access to Ham. I've located my nearest test and have compiled quite a bit of the practice tests and study guides....so I'll start studying this weekend.

What sort of platform-aligment would it take for Libertarians and Tea Party to join forces? I think it would take some serious negotiations on social issues and civil liberties.
