TAZEWELL COUNTY

Postby RKtullahomaTN » Fri, 20 Dec 2019 14:55:38

The above mentioned county is the first one to approve an organized county militia. Will there be others?

This is something that hasn't been around since the Revolution. And your parasite load of demosocialists can't say much about it, as the provision for it is in your own state constitution.

Tazewell County enjoys an advantage in having the West Virginia border as one of its boundaries. If your wedgehead governor decides to get stupid and blockade highways to cut off supplies, they will still have WV to go thru.

anyone here FROM Tazewell County?

I drive through Tazewell, from time to time.

I've heard rumors (and, by rumors, I mean that my wife reads things on Facebook, and tells me about it, so I can't verify truth of it) that Northam plans to cut utilities (cell towers, power, internet, etc.) in areas that he plans to send military operatives... sorry, State Police... in order to confiscate weapons.

Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Obviously, if he does cut utilities, this would be to hinder communications. (Though, should all utilities go down for no apparent reason, you know something is fixxin to go down)

Perhaps setting up some radio networks would be a good idea. Further, utilization of signal flares, and other old school, "obsolete" communication techniques, would be useful, too, in case radio frequencies are jammed.

Communication is important.

Yes, cut off utilities. I'm sure all the dim/lib/prog/socialists voters who voted for a dim candidate for governor will quickly decide that was a "good idea" and be chomping at the bit to do it again next election. NOT!!

It would be damned near impossible to cut electricity at the county line. Same for cellphones. GPS, not at all.

Lee County has also declared they will follow the Tazewell County militia guidelines in setting up their own county militia.

Don't forget the two county sheriffs who have declared they will deputize county residents. In some manner this is a county militia as well. Armed county residents under local control/direction for the purpose of protecting the county residents and property from outside aggression/interference.

If a couple talk about it openly, how many are talking about it privately? How many are thinking about it but not openly talking about it.

I don't know if Northam actually made the threat, or not. But, cutting power to a grid, or two, plus knocking out the cell towers in the area of the grid, plus disrupting the internet feed in the area of the grid, all for a quick-strike confiscation exercise, is doable. No, not on county lines; probably smaller scale, but still doable.

Not that I think that such an exercise would be fully successful. One, if Northam DID make the threat... well, he's communicated the thought. So, if everything suddenly goes out for no apparent reason, everyone will know what's going on, in theory.

The other thing is, of course, while the first few raids might be successful, word will spread like wildfire, and hundreds of thousands of remaining free citizens are likely to build up defenses, fairly quickly.

If Northam actually did threaten this, though, it was likely just bluster. Even someone as dense as he is, has got to see how foolish that would be, in practice.

However, I stand by my initial statement; alternative communication should be implemented; various radio, signal flares, flashing spotlights... because God only knows how far these tyrants are willing to go.

It appears Lee County has also thrown in for a county militia.

Has anyone observed these sorts of activity in any other state?

Every state has a different constitution. Countries don't have this authority in many other states. In Illinois thre governor is thre only person who can call up ruger militia, and they must provide the arms and training to those militia.

Lee County, now, just when I was thinking I'd never visited Pisgah, or the other Frog Level. Bet it's beautiful country, up there.

One has to wonder, as a tourist, who has always found Virginia to be a firearms tolerant state. How is the State Police or the National Guard going to feel about jerking around elderly out-of-state tourists, in front of the media, and national coverage?

Sure would be a shame, if a bunch of jack-booted thugs started working over visiting Senior Citizens, and it went viral. Might be really difficult for the lamestream media to put a positive spin on a situation like that...

Man, that's devious, and underhanded, and, and, I think I'm going to like you.

Why didn't I think of that?
