This is a project car. Perfect for a decent wrench turner and his/her kid(s). Please read the ad carefully.

Sounds like a head gasket gone quite bad. Probably a two-day job for a good DIY mechanic with a decent garage and set of tools. Helps that it's an inline engine with the head on top. Many modern V-6s require removing the engine to pull the heads. Parts for a gasket job aren't too expensive but if the head itself is cracked, now you're talking real money.

You're exactly right - this could be a very easy fix for the right person. I just do not have the tools, time or space to do it. I never ran the engine overheated - darn close, but never in the red. I am betting on the gasket, but I can't be certain.

If it IS a cracked/warped head - a rebuilt engine is quicker.
