.40 Caliber @ Fairfax Walmart

.40 Caliber @ Fairfax Walmart

I was in the Fairfax Walmart (Rte 29) this afternoon checking on ammo and noticed that they had a "ton" of .40 caliber on the shelves. There was some .45ACP available, and quite a bit of .223 and 7.62 - of course lots of shotgun and no .22LR.

do you remember the price on either the .40 or the .45 by any chance?

I was at another Wal-Mart on Friday. The 100-round WWB of 45 was about $43 I think. Don't know about the 40.

eglfan55....sorry, I didn't check the prices - didn't need any .45, and don't use .40. Walmart seems to have maintained their "old" prices though...the .45 I have purchased there is usually between $20 and $24 per 50 round box.

$27.00 @50 seems to ring a bell on the 40-- I have expended about all my factory ammo and will venture forth tomorrow to start loading the 40 for my SIG. Will be looking for a load using RED DOT and a 165gr. bullet. This has been on the back burner fora couple of years while I broke the SIG in. It's about time. :) :pistol:
