Some of my Cowboy GunsAs a youngster in the mid 1940's my heros were Tom Mix, Johnny Mac Brown, Hopalong Cassidy and Roy Rogers. There were no xBoxes then (or even TV's in my home) so we spent the whole day outside running through the fields and woods playing Cowboys and Indians. I never lost my love for these firearms.

Re: Some of my Cowboy Guns
Yep but only when we could scrounge up a nickel (or sneak in the back door of the Orpheum theater)!
Re: Some of my Cowboy GunsVery nice collection!
What's the lever-action with the brass receiver? I've been thinking about getting something like that.
Re: Some of my Cowboy Guns
It's a Uberti made copy of a Winchester 1866 Yellow Boy in .45 LC
Re: Some of my Cowboy Guns
Ah, that's what I thought it might be...that's the exact rifle I've been considering for my next rifle purchase. For some reason, I thought I wanted it in .357 Magnum...but looking around right now, looks like it's only available in .45 Long Colt, .44/40 and .38 Special. http://www.uberti.com/firearms/1866_yellowboy.php
Re: Some of my Cowboy Guns
Hmmm... hock... is that you? Are those both yours, or did you just google search them? *BaH* I know they must be yours. You get all the cool toys! What was that thing with the octagon barrel that you bought at the gun show last year?
Re: Some of my Cowboy GunsYeah, it's me. Finally signed up. These are both in my safe.
If your talking about that show in Fredvegas where you had a booth I was looking at a springfield trapdoor but bought this 1866 instead. It was a good score. Wish I had that sprinfield too though.
