WTB: Gloss scope for .22 rimfire rifle

Postby sdlrodeo » Tue, 03 Jul 2012 22:42:52

It doesn't seem like there are very many scope makers who make "gloss" blued scopes any more. Don't get me wrong, I love matte tactical scopes/guns but I have an old mossberg .22 bolt gun that deserves a gently used gloss scope on top.

Looking for at most a 3-9x40 but would rather a 2-7x? I'm not a brand snob either.

PM me or reply to this post if you have something...

Thanks,
Steve

You could also look into an aftermarket coating if you only need it for aesthetics. Take a matte scope and find a trigger man patient enough to properly mask it and hit it with duracoats clearcoat.

There are several options. Most gloss Scopes i see these days are junk made for bb guns it seems.

Good point. Never thought of duracoating clear, always thought of it as matte.

Thanks,

I think I may have one you might like let me look tonight and see if it is a 2 x 7 or a 3 x 9 I had it on my old .22 and took it off about a year ago so I will have to look for it. If I find it I will post a photo for you to see.

Ended up picking up a VX II 2-7x in gloss on GB. Nice piece. Thanks for the help anyway.
