Longshot: Looking for an Iraqi Tariq pistol

Postby Jamie » Sun, 04 Mar 2012 00:49:27

So back before we liberated Iraq from Saddam, Browning had apparently licensed Iraq to make Hi-Powers (IIRC) and sell them as the "Tariq." Jane's said they were made in 9mm and a 7.62 version.

I had the opportunity to handle one of those at Aberdeen a couple of years ago, and rather liked it. A bit heavy for every day carry, but still kind of cool.

So I thought I'd take a long shot and see if one of you lads has one you'd be willing to part with. I'm in Manassas.

Might as well let the ATF know you smuggled illegal firearms into the country as war trophies.
Look unimportant, the enemy might be low on ammo.

You obviously don't know what Aberdeen is.
