magazine extensionshello fellow virginians, new to the forum here and this is my first "newbie" question. I carry a glock26 and have the pierce mag. extensions on it currently. my question is, what are the legal restrictions if there are any, on adding the magazine extension that are plus 1 or 2? thanks guys, hvychev77
Re: magazine extensionsNo real restrictions'; there is a 20 round rule which you're exempted from if you have a CHP.
Personally I don't care for grip extensions for two reasons. The first is reliability. In my experience and research most are fairly poor as they usually deform the spring. The second is that the grip is usually the hardest part to conceal, why make it bigger? The difference between a G26 and a G19 is ~1/2" of barrel and about as much as a grip extension. Why not just by a G19 instead if you want the extra rounds? Or, if you sometimes need the shorter grip length, just buy a few G19 mags and use those in your G26 when you want the extra rounds and don't when you need the extra concealment.
Re: magazine extensionsthanks for the reply. i wondered about the reliability factor with the extensions, i haven't had any problems yet. i've tried shooting it both ways, with and without, and it just feels more comfortable with it. i haven't had any problems with concealment, i carry a g23 also and have for quite a while without any issues with concealment on that one as well. i guess it's just a personal preference as far as the extensions go.....thanks, hvychev77
