Re: DC Lawsuit seeks right to carry guns in publicThanks for clarifying the issue, Edward. Sorry to hear that you were stopped for DWB. DC is full of hypocrites.
I agree with your aspect of the suit. If I or anyone else with a VA carry permit make one wrong turn from across the river, finding myself on a bridge to DC, I'm an instant criminal. That's just wrong. The 2nd Amendment preserves the right to keep and "bear" arms. How can one bear arms in one's residence in a locked box? DC flaunts the Constitution at every turn. I wish you every success in the lawsuit and hope that your record is expunged. "To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them" -George Mason, American Statesman (1725-92)
Re: DC Lawsuit seeks right to carry guns in publicHave we all noticed that the jurisdictions with the strictest gun control laws in our country (like DC, Chicago, Maryand, New York) have the biggest gun violence problems in the country? So basically in those areas, the only people that carry firearms are criminals, and the strict laws have done very little in stopping or even slowing down gun related crime offenses there!
