Re: Interpretation of "Carrying in Church" law
Oh my Henry... Competition is one of the great levelers of ego.
Re: Interpretation of "Carrying in Church" lawI did carry at the request of a bishop. I ran a security detail in my church, and inlisted other vets and leo also. We had a lot of good times, never had to pull and only a handful of patrons complained. My thoughts have always been that its better to be safe than sorry after the fact. I would carry today if I felt the need to or at a request from the clerage. I don't suggest carrying to a church or picnic if you don't have it in you to pull if necessary. That would only get you hurt or killed. Know your own abilities and realize that carrying is like taking your life in your own hands. Ask any law enforcement officer if they would carry a weapon they were not 100% comfortable with. BTW, some of the men that were recruited by me were Fort Lee M.P's and two former CIA officials. We were serious, but we had to be. Anyway you look at it, it's a basic right of ours to protect ourselves from any perceived threat. In a church, at a school, at the grocery store or in a mall. I do appreciate all the replies to this thread. Lot's of great info here, and my info is just mho and personal experience.
Re: Interpretation of "Carrying in Church" law
Preacher, Welcome! The church I attend has a sheppard who is x military and also carries,so does his wife at least one of the decons and I my self also, it is good to know there are others who can help in a time of need. Evil can not stand as long as good men are willing to take a stand.
Re: Interpretation of "Carrying in Church" lawProtection for ones self I would think is sufficent cause to carry, I mean thats why we all carry any way right? and at a small church, every one there becomes like family
