Mark your calendars! The Bass Pro "Set Your Sights" event is May 4-6, 2012 at the Bass Pro Shops in Ashland, Va. Proactive Shooters' President and Chief Firearms Instructor, James Reynolds will be conducting a Concealed Carry Q&A session on Friday, May 4 at 7pm.

Proactive Shooters staff members will also be available on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6 to talk with you about our courses, get you signed up for a class, and we will be offering discounted NRA memberships that are only available in person!

Izaak Walton League - Kids Fishing Rodeo May 20th

If your in the area, The Christiansburg Montgomery County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is holding it's annual Kids Fishing Rodeo Sunday May 20th.

Kids ages 4-12 can fish for Rainbow Trout and get a free lunch. (and keep the fish)
Bring your fishing gear and have fun!
(you can also check out the shooting ranges and the rest of the club)
Registration starts at noon and fishing at 2pm.

Black Creek Steel will hold a special 4 Stage, 120 round steel match on Saturday, 26 May.

* Registration opens at 0815.
* Mandatory Shooters' Safety Briefing at 0845.
* Shooting starts at 0900.
* Match scheduled to end at 1300.
* We will be shooting in squads.
* Match fee is $20.

A concealed carry course will be taught twice daily: Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 and 2:00 p.m. Please bring state or federal ID. The course is $65.00. Afterwards you will qualify for the Virginia permit.

Special at this show for the first time come and experience the Mobile Firearms Training Unit which couples the latest high-tech simulation technology with non-lethal live firing to provide the safest, most effective firearm training available anywhere. In addtion, participate in the "Top Shot" marksman contest and match your skills. Prizes will be awarded every hour for the highest Top Shot scores with a grand prize awarded to the highest score of the day.
