Buffalo Wild wing anti 2nd amendment1Went to the Buffalo Wild wing tonight here in Williamsburg tonight and saw a big sign on the door. No Guns allowed. So we went elsewhere. Spread the word. They only want the bad guys to be armed.
Re: Buffalo Wild wing anti 2nd amendment1Old news....been mentioned everywhere for at least a year +

Re: Buffalo Wild wing anti 2nd amendment1And now the odd thing: Ed had his monthly OC Dinner at BWW in Sterling/Dulles just last week-ish! Welcomed with open arms (so to speak).

So, were the signs paper or actually painted on the door? Makes a difference ya know. Paper signs are not effective criminal thug stoppers. Them painted ones gets em every time... ![]() No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Re: Buffalo Wild wing anti 2nd amendment1It is interesting--different BWW have different things. The one closest to our house, has nothing painted on it, and no sign. But the one across town has a sign. Perhaps different managers different opinions.

Re: Buffalo Wild wing anti 2nd amendment1I like the law in Texas. (This might be old info) The sign/ law 3006 (loved the name too!) has minimum dimensions and requirements for signs forbidding CHL. The signs have to be like 3 feet wide or high. Forgot which way.
But the signs are so bigass ugly, that establishments did not want to put them up. If they put little ones up, they were null and void! ![]() Life Member IDPA & GOA. NRA Certified Instructor (Safety, Pistol, Personal Defense)
Re: Buffalo Wild wing anti 2nd amendment1Here's updated Texas info.
http://texas3006.com/signs.php (hmmm I wonder if this should be pushed in VA......) The sign must read exactly those words in both English and Spanish, be placed in an area visible to the public, and have 1" lettering or it will not be considered a legally-binding 30.06 sign. "Ghostbuster" signs, or signs with a red slash through a gun, are not considered valid 30.06 postings. A 51% sign is a sign that a business is required by law to post if 51% of their revenue is obtained through on-premises drinking, such as at a bar. Unfortunately this also has the consequence of not allowing CHL holders to enter the premises where the drinking is taking place while carrying their handgun. Additional places are not required to post a sign to forbid CHL holders from entering the premises with their handgun as Texas law already forbids it, such as court houses and educational institutions. ![]() Life Member IDPA & GOA. Conceptually, if you are going to regulate something you should post specifications for it to avoid confusion. Personally, I prefer the liberty based approach where the state stays out of regulating private affairs...that includes regulating "ABC" establishments.
