Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)Keltec is releasing a Bullpup Shotgun with 14+1 capacity! It's kind of a new take on the Neostead 2000 that, IIRC, was never imported. MSRP and release date not yet known.

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)That is one mean looking weapon...I likey!

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)I like the concept. Couple things I would change though. The action cycling seems a bit awkward, a slightly longer weapon would fix this. The sights are awful IMHO. Flip ups for back up sights is one thing, but to design them as primary is not wise. Also the sight radius is too short and the grip over two 12ga tubs is way too wide. I forget the way to calculate it (its based on the old formula to built a good sword), but the ideal weapon length for your average man is around 37". It was based on height/arm length ratios and you can tell by the way they cycle the action in the video that it is not right. Extend the weapons OAL, but add a collapsible stock or something would be better.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
I think you're missing the point; its designed for people my age (bet its under 400 bucks!) who think guns must look like something from Modern Warfare. It does look cool, and it will sell based on that factor alone. So rattle my bones all over the stones, I'm only a beggar-man whom nobody owns. Oh, see how words as old as sin, fit me like a glove.
I'm here and here I'll stay.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
I doubt you'll be shooting much skeet with this thing. Point blank == no sights necessary.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
It wouldn't look much different with my mods, it would just be more functional IMHO. I have several bullpups and they are a good concept when executed correctly. This isn't far off, but who knows what QC will be like. The gun they stole it from wasn't designed for people our age, it was designed to be a better shotgun. It just isn't available in the US.

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
Yep I agree and just slightly longer gun would be nicer. Would also allow some adjustably and a longer radius. “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)The shells eject on the left side?. I wonder if that can be modified?.

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)No the shells eject down, similar to the design of the PS-90/P90. The chamber is actually right next to your cheek (real comforting uh? better hope the chamber doesn't fail) If you look closely between the guy's forearm and bicep, you can see the shell ejecting downward.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)I watched again and now I see the shells ejecting downward. I thought it was configured for a lefty

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
Would raise the cost though, Kel-tecs target demographics seem uh, budget conscious, and young. Never a good thing to put too much into production for that group that wants fast and cheap. Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)That looks awkward and punishing
If you've got a job to do like that, than the Saiga -12 would be my first choice... Now is the time for all good men to get off their rusty dustys...
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
If they can't price it a good bit below a sporterized Sagia then I don't see it becoming sucessful. But hey it's pretty inovative. Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
The only thing would increase the cost of the gun by any meaningful amount is an adjustable stock. Real drilled/tapped/dovetail sights are cheaper than that rail and flip ups. The extension of the rifle likely costs virtually nothing. I like the bullpup and twin tube feed concept, but it just needs tweaked IMHO. The reason it is designed that way is so they can market how short it is. It should be considerably shorter than an M4.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)I've been keeping my eye on this weapon. IF it proves itself reliable and durable (and only time will tell), then I might pick one up.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)Will be out in the 3rd quarter of this year at an MSRP of $880.

Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)There is a lot of steel in that gun and the price is up there. Very un-Kel-Tec like.
A great way to fix the odd cycling posture would be to offer it with an integral suppressor and extend the grip.
Re: Keltec-Constant Innovators(New Shotgun)
Haha good point! I guess a 12 gauge is to much power for a average Kel Tec design. Say tuned and you may see a all plastic .410! “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
