My new scope for Marlin Model 60SS

Postby Micro » Sat, 14 May 2011 19:14:12

I chose a Burris Fullfield E1 2-7X 35mm. It's probably overkill, but I love Burris scopes. It's set in Burris Z-Rings on B-Square dovetail-to-weaver adapater bases. Even though the scope is a centerfire scope, parallax appears non existent at low powers and minimal at high powers (and then only at short range).

How do you like it? I've been wanting to get one of the E1 scopes to review, but so far I haven't gotten one yet.

I like it a lot. It's not a rimfire scope. But it works very well in that capacity. Virtually no parallax at low power and I can focus it down to under 20 feet at low power for close shooting. I've got about a 1000 rounds through it and it stays dead on through the power range. I especially like the adjustment knobs. They can be adjusted by hand. The caps give it sort of a tactical look. For under $180, I highly recommend it. (Didn't come with lens caps, though :()

Wow that's gotta be the nicest Marlin 60 I've seen. Love the stainless gun on that stock and the scopes contrast makes it!
