Since I was never gonna carry around the Walther PPK or Sig P232, I decided I could skimp on quality and go with the Bersa Thunder. And since I was not going to carry it, why throw away cash on .380's?
So I got the 22.
Its OK, clearly not the best quality weapon ever made. Plenty of jagged edges due to cheap machining. And that cheap oil they put on at the factory causes more problems than it fixes. Had to clean it thoroughly and put on some Militec (which improved its rough operation quite a bit).
Is plenty accurate, and I do like the sleek profile. But the sticky safety and slide are quite annoying. Gonna need to work it a lot. Oh, and its got a clunky break-down too, which is a pain cuz you really do need to clean it well after each shooting session. Its not like my Glock where I can just run the Bore snake through once and call it a day.
BUT, it is a nice low-cost alternative to more famous guns. Anybody use a Bersa as their daily carry?
