Can't seem to find anyone in stock online, and I do not recall seeing any in a local store.

LOL. I've been looking for one for MONTHS. Marlin was bought by Remington in or around 2007. They closed the Marlin plant in North Haven, CT last year, with the intention of making Marlins in Ilion, NY. The rumor is the transition went horribly, and they aren't even shipping 1894 C's or CSS's.

Yeah I've heard and read the same thing. The machinery Marlin uses for its lever guns is older and is being a pain to relocate and get back up. Their bolt guns are still available I hear, just not the lever guns. Damn shame, too.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance... wait... when did that happen?

Marlin told me they are getting new machines and will be making levers soon.

It would be nice. Sad that the only .357 lever that can be easily set up with optics is like Bigfoot.
