DeGoffs

Postby Wingandaprayer » Sat, 23 Jun 2018 17:08:27

I drove through Mechanicsville yesterday and was surprised to see a realtor’s sign on the DeGoff building. Sad that we have lost another small shop. Hard to compete with Bass Pro and the like.

Yeah, they closed back about Christmas.

(shrugs) Adapt or die in this day, and age! If you aren't selling via the inturwebz, or at least ON the web actively, and pricing your stuff accordingly? Nah good.

Smaller shops that do this process seem to do okay. Snagging the bargains on some things, and cross-selling to the expensive stuff extra with the "one stop/one shop" thing.

I was a pretty steady customer there until about 2010. They had some good prices on bulk ammo and fair prices on handguns. :pistol:
