Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace CantorThere is a great candidate to replace Cantor, - Floyd Bayne! He actually knows what the Constitution says and sticks to it. Now if you all can donate your money and time to his campaign and tell your friends to vote for him.
http://www.floydbayne.com/ We went to three events so far where he was given a chance to speak about himself, why he is running and what he will do (and not do) if he is elected to US Congress from 7th District. You will be amazed, but he actually thinks Constitution should be respected, followed and upheld! Interesting thing about him - he has a campaign staff member who is from former USSR. I dont live in his district so I am sad that I cannot vote for him. But that is TWO people from former USSR who are for Floyd Bayne -- does that tell you enough about him? Please support Floyd Baybe Thanks, Leyla Myers
Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace CantorEric Cantor is a lying dirtbag crapweasel of a RINO. And those are his good points.

Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace CantorI'd like to see some objective reporting on what he stands for.
I am in Cantor's district, so it does matter to me. (I'm also on a local GOP committee, so I'm not supposed to vote for anyone but Cantor. I tend to follow my conscience in the voting booth though.)
Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace CantorDiomed - his website is pretty clear on his views and positions. He is on Facebook, so you can follow him there. He is open to meeting with people in person. He came to VCDL meetings at least twice - when I was there too. If you want to have a personal opinion - make sure to try to meet him.
But I am happy to give you my personal report on what I heard him say over and over again in private conversations and in debates with oponent. I am NOT in his district and I am already doing my best to have him elected (money, time, sign placement, etc). Floyd Baybe stands for : - no bailouts - fed govt has no authority to create jobs - fed govt has no authority to run or regulate health care or health insurance - no international war waging and wasting money - abolish Dept of Education, let the state and local govt decide on what to teach the kids - strict reading and following of Constitution - he is for small business, he used to help with his family's local store - he is 100% pro-2A, which is far more than you can say about Cantor
Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace Cantor"I'm also on a local GOP committee, so I'm not supposed to vote for anyone but Cantor"
Sorry, but what a bunch of #@$%$ !! You are asked to give up your brain and concious as soon as you join an organization/group/committee? Collective thinking, collective voting, collective submission to the GOP? Not my type of group. Kudos for you for NOT "following the orders"
Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace CantorFloyd Bayne is against abuse of eminent domain law.
Floyd Bayne thinks that if a light rail considered necessary then it should be financed by private funds, private investment. Floyd does not think we need another Amtrak disastrous business model.

Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace Cantor
Websites tend to slant and distort, or even outright falsify, the views of the candidate if those views might impede getting elected. So, I don't really trust them. I prefer outside sources and/or an actual voting record.
Well, yeah. It's a private organization, they can set whatever standards they like for membership. Supposedly I'm supposed to support whoever the party nominates for whatever office is at issue, and if I didn't, I could be ejected from the party. There is no way to verify that, of course, unless I made a public statement to the effect that I was going to vote against the party line and the committee can go screw. I will say that I joined with the objective of helping to get the party to become more like I'd prefer it be versus what it presently is, and voting for more of the same is seldom conducive to that goal. And that's all I have to say about that.
Re: Vote for Floyd Bayne - to replace Cantor"I prefer outside sources and/or an actual voting record."
We met him three times in person and he continues to stand for the above listed views in every conversation and debate. He does not have a voting record, but that does not stop me. Career politicians are more prone to lying. Floyd has been in small business and is pro 2A; his wife is a teacher.
