Former governor and Senator George Allen has announced his intent to run for the Senate seat of Jim Webb in 2012,,, IMHO he was the best governor this state has had,, Especially after all the years of Mr Incompetence and registered dumb ass Doug Wilder.. You know the one ,, sat on his ass for years collecting a salary and basking in the fact that he was the first VA black governor, and nothing else,,,,Anyway back to Allen,.. He will get a chance to boot Webbs ass out on it after the sleazy campaign Webb ran to take the seat 6 years ago. I hope he learned from that experience to show an opponent no quarter and take is ass out. We all saw what being a cat did for McCain...


George Allen to announce Senate bid Monday

Granted there will be some who don;t like Allen but compared to Webb ,He's an improvement of immeasurable proportion.

Damn, I hope you didn't maybe or maybe not say the N word at some time in the past with no witnesses and can't be proven???? WTF is a macaca? A freaking monkey! I know Allen used the term once in passing but big deal,, It's just another BS term used not knowing the true meaning that the rest of us couldn't give a rats ass about.....

I do have to agree with Spence regarding the "Macaca moment". Right, wrong, or indifferent, Senator Allen used a word that he had no idea could be construed to be an ethnic slur.

Jim Webb's campaign set him up for this. Senator Allen learned from it, and I don't believe that he will ever make that mistake again.

George Allen is one of the few that is not a RINO, unfortunately, I think that his political career may be finished thanks to Webb's campaign.

I'm more optimistic that he can overcome that old crap ,He only lost by a slim margin last time and Ol Webb is debating if he will even run again... Webb and the media used that macaca thing and the supposed "N" word while at school to engineer a smear campaign,.. A lot of folks I speak to are glad Allen is throwing his hat in the ring.. The momentum is there, he;s just gotta take the ride..
