No, Mooo-shell the FWOTUS was seen a couple of days ago at a local burger joint where she scarfed down a huge burger, large fries, and a milkshake. Estimated calories for the meal exceeded 1700. She is a hypocrite because she is pushing an agenda to control what we eat, especially children. Hence she is a hypocrite...

Even the strictest diets allow for occasional splurges...still not seeing a hypocrite here since she was pushing for overall healthier lifestyles.

Conversely, I can say Barbara Bush's childhood literacy initiative was a ballsy exercise in hypocrisy given her own son was functionally illiterate.

@Kreutz - the point is this...NO ONE...I repeat NO ONE...has the right or authority to dictate what we should or should not eat. Regarding children that is up to the parents period. Moo-shell's "initiative" is far more than an initiative. She has pushed and pressured congress and schools to institute laws and policies governing what kids eat or should not eat. And that is unacceptable. Once again the elite liberal progressive philosophy shines clearly through...do as I say not as I do...

You eat this up and turn your head...what will you do when things like this intrude upon your space...by then it may be too late...better wake up friend...

Did you know there are kids who have bypass surgery? Seriously.

Someone has to step in, may as well be the government- I teust them far more than I trust lobbyists-like the ones that kill requiring fast food restaurants from posting calorie content. Whats so bad about forcing them to show how unhealthy their food really is?

Their mantra is "individual responsibility" after all, far easier to be responsible when you know what you're dealing with.

You eat this up and turn your head...what will you do when things like this intrude upon your space...by then it may be too late...better wake up friend...

"Intrude"? I welcome it. I did the food shopping after my wife had each of our kids, and holy hell its hard to find food low in fat, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and sodium-for adults and children. No wonder so many people are fat hypertensive diabetics in this country. Across the board cuts in sugar and salt are a great start.

It's the processed, prepackaged, convenience stuff that has a lot of the bad stuff. Eating a good balance of fresh food, meat, veggies, fruit, dairy, etc., is better. Of course it's more expensive and takes more time to prepare, too. But I should be able to decide what balance of good food and junk I eat or serve to my kids, not the government.
What about the single mom, working hard at two jobs to provide for her kids, who only has $$ enough for hot dogs and mac & cheese for dinner tonight? Will the gov't say "that's not good enough"? Maybe they can just eat every other night. But at least it will be a government approved "healthy" meal. There are consequences to legislation.

Yes, I know how food prices work.

Amazingly enough no one is banning prepackaged mac n cheese. However, if the manufacturer is forced to reduce the sodium content, its less damaging to her and her kids, so they win. They're precisely the people who benefit most, often living in food deserts.

This is unacceptable. With all the scrapping over the budget and debt ceilings and Obamacare, you trust our legislators to create "common sense" regulations on every aspect of the foods that we eat? No thanks.

Kruetz you're talking about my country buddy. I wore a uniform so that my son can eat a cheesburger should he want one. I also don't appreciate the bullsh*t pictures you showed regarding europians and Americans. We have the best looking women in the world, bar none.

Yes, I live here too.

I wore a uniform

Yes, I wore one too. How is this relevant to fact Americans have the waistlines of a small vehicle?

so that my son can eat a cheesburger should he want one.

Thats not quite the reason I wore one....but, whatever.

I also don't appreciate the bullsh*t pictures you showed regarding europians and Americans.

How are they "BS"? Europeans are far less obese and far healthier and more active than we are. This is a simple fact.

We have the best looking women in the world, bar none.

No comment on personal preferences, I tend to favor factual data over opinions.

Yes, I do. established levels of nutrients (the RDA) have been around for years. Forcing a smaller % of sodium or sugar is simple. Just need the balls to do it.

If you wore a uniform, unless you were drafted you wore it to guarantee our freedoms in this country. Whether its to eat to our contention or vote. No political ass has the right to dictate anything in this country. We are America, we have many sizes, shapes and colors. This is why we are different than any other country on earth. As to my belief that American women are the best looking women (personal preferance) I say that my wife is italian by heritage but American by birth. Waistlines the size of small vehicles, baby got back! No country has all petite people. Not even africa where large women are considered rich. Sound familiar? If someones size offends you, get the hell over it and look somewhere else. And yes I noticed the pictures you chose to show for comparison didn't show any American college girls showing their thongs. Why? I understand obesity is rampent in this country apparently so is ignorance. America is truely the greatest nation on earth, as a fellow vet(?) You obviously have to see that. If not, there is always a plane or boat to england or wherever you like in europe.

Dude, you don't get it. It's that whole gov't force thing. You really are a socialist, aren't you?

I am in earnest here... Help me to understand how you can trust the government more than you can trust yourself for your own self determination. I think that folks who believe this feel that it's really to be applied to others, but not for themselves... until they get bit on the a** by it... "Wait, I didn't mean ME..."
