Not sure how true this is. I haven't been able to verify it from other sources. But it definitely could get interesting fast. http://politicalvelcraft.org/2011/11/14 ... swat-team/As more people became dissatisfied with federal government controls and land grabs, it was inevitable that local law enforcement would eventually see the bigger picture. At the northern California fairgrounds of Yreka last month, seven California sheriffs and another from Oregon gathered with a large group of citizens to say that they are finally going to do something about it.
“A giant has been awakened,” said Plumas County, Calif. Sheriff Greg Hagwood, “and they didn’t count on that,” speaking of the federal bureaucracy.

Wow. In California, even. Maybe there is hope for that state, yet.

Lot of bodies in that state to get behind a movement like that... But as loing as we see Pelosis, Feinstein types getting elected there it's pretty much a moot point.
California would be better off subdividing into three or four smaller states, but that will never happen - the leftists who occupy the coastal areas own Sacramento and will never willingly give up their power. It's a shame, I'd actually consider moving to a free northern California, sometimes wistfully called the state of Jefferson. It'd have more in common with Idaho than California (as we think of it).

CA is beautiful. There are tons of conservatives that live there as well. Too bad the lefty towns like San Fran. and the hollywood types seem to be in 100% control of politics. Can't seem to drag it out of their hands no matter what type of oxen you use. What they can't accomplish in the legislature they accomplish by fiat/activist judiciary. My brother is stuck there and it is really really infuriating. As a side not (and funny to boot) he has far more guns than me!

Been in parts of California that were beautiful. Been in other parts that were pretty crummy. A lot of it seems to me like Las Vegas - - an irrigated desert. Could have been the time of year I was there. San Fransisco is pretty nice, but seems to have more than it's share of flakes. Los Angelus is a big, slick city in the places you go for conventions and business meetings, but there are vast tracts of it that are downright squalid. Guess you could say the same about any big city, but somehow LA seems to rub your nose in it. All in all, I'd just as soon stay home as go most of the places in CA that I've been.

I don't think it's a good idea to put that online. WHO KNOWS who's checking? I love big-caliber and longe-range rifles and 1911 pistols, and I've got a few.

I can always use another 1911.
