Well as Gunderwood has already said, Perry is just Obama-lite. For those who say we can't afford another 4 years of Obama. Can we really afford four years of Perry? Whose past polices show that he is a RHINO and will only continue the past failed policies.

This man gets my vote, media can keep ignoring him, internet shows he has a huge following and gaining more each day. He has been fighting to return our nation back to the vision our forefathers intended and has a solid voting record in the senate. Wants to end the FED and return rights back to the States and get the government out of our affairs. Media will either fail to mention him even though he's done quite well in the straw polls or make him sound like a crazy person.

Yeah, sorry he lost my vote right there. Insulting voters is not the best way to get votes.

Funny thing is illegal immigration is not one of my biggest hotbutton issues - it's important but I am willing to compromise on some of it, short of amnesty.

But to say you have to pay for their school or you have no heart? That's someone who I cannot trust, someone who will think with his feelings and will demonize anyone who tries to bring reason into the equation. And he insulted 10s of millions of people right there.

I find some serious humor on the whole discussion. There are like 7-10 issues/positions that would be considered "Republican" and if an individual fails to check one of those blocks, he is a RINO. I want you to understand that I am not a Perry supporter, however I do believe he would be better than the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I like Mitt Romney even less than Perry, but like every election since George Bush Sr. I will vote for the less undesirable candidate. I can point out at least one item in each of the candidates' positions that I don't agree with, that doesn't make them all RINOs, it just makes them less than perfect in my eyes. As a matter of fact Ron Paul's only position that I have a real problem with is foreign policy and that one alone scares me alot, but given the choice between Representative Paul and President Obama, hands down I will vote for Mr. Paul. If I have to pick a candidate from the field that I would like to see end up on top, it has to be Herman Cain. The Florida straw poll results tell me there is a little hope, but I am not going to say he has a huge chance. Then again in the last election cycle I thought Hillary Clinton was almost assured of the nomination.

I like Cain, too. One, he is not a lawyer. Big plus, right there. Second, he is a successful business man. He resurrected a dead company. This tells me that he either understands finances, or listens closely and seriously to those that do.

Bonus: Republicans can taunt the Democrats with the fact that Cain is blacker than Obama. (Since the Dems care so much about such trivial matters....)

As for Perry.... He causes my eyebrow to raise from time to time, but he may be the most electable guy that we've got.

My biggest issue with Ron Paul is that he seems to be content to wait for an attack on home soil before going to war.

+1 if your searching for a prefect political don't hold your breath. There is always going to be some aspect of someone that I disagree with but it doesn't mean I think they aren't any good.

Up until '89, Perry was a registered Democrat who even supported Al Gore in '88 as chairman of the Gore campaign in Texas.

Just listen to what conservatives in Texas have to say about him. While publicly he uses conservative talking points, his actions in elected office say something else.

Contrary to what he says, Perry is a "big government" politician. When Rick Perry became the governor of Texas in 2000, the total spending by the Texas state government was approximately $49 billion. Ten years later it was approximately $90 billion. The total debt of the Texas government has more than doubled since Rick Perry became governor. That is not exactly reducing the size of government. He has actively worked to undermine the ban on the un-Constitutional TSA “Grope” searches. Only after great public pressure, Perry was forced to reverse his position and resurrect a bill that would ban TSA groping in Texas. He says he opposes Obamacare, but he will force your twelve-year-old girl to get an injection for an STD. Perry on illegal immigrants: “We don’t care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there. And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. That’s why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate." Perry opposed Arizona’s tough anti-illegal immigration law SB 1070. He spoke out last year against using E-Verify to prevent illegal immigrants from getting jobs as state employees, who get their paychecks from the taxpayers. Rick Perry has spearheaded the effort to lease roads in Texas to foreign companies, to turn roads that are already free to drive on into toll roads, and to develop the Trans-Texas Corridor which would be part of the planned NAFTA superhighway system. Perry has repeatedly raised taxes and fees while he has been governor. Perry attended the Bilderberg Group meetings in 2007.

Perry may be "better" than Obama, but that's not saying much. He's still a RINO and he's not the answer to America's problems.

This is it. Remember this everyone about everything ANY politician says. Even the illustrious Ron Paul is not above politics. Making changes in a bill that favors his constituents and then when it is certain to pass--vote against it (this I heard from Texans that love Ron Paul, but caution the rest of doe-eyed people to not be deceived). Look I will vote for ABO (any one but Obama). Are any of them perfect--nope--but I would take any of them over what we have now.

Sadly this is the coin we are dealt and we must find a way to make this stacked deck work in our favor.
