http://news.yahoo.com/gop-gingrich-perr ... 44117.htmlWASHINGTON (AP) — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry have failed to qualify for Virginia's March 6 Republican primary, a setback in their bids for the Republican presidential nomination.
It also illustrates the advantage held by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. He's essentially been running for president for five years, and his team, smaller than in 2008 but larger than most of his 2012 opponents, has paid close attention to filing requirements in each state. He will appear on the Virginia ballot, along with Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who also has run a national campaign before.
Can't keep a good Newt down: http://news.yahoo.com/gingrich-attacks- ... 29011.htmlThe Gingrich campaign says Virginia has a "failed system."
Campaign director Michael Krull issued a statement Saturday saying people deserve to vote for any contender -- especially leading candidates.
The campaign says Gingrich will pursue an aggressive write-in campaign to appear on Virginia's ballot.
So rattle my bones all over the stones, I'm only a beggar-man whom nobody owns. Oh, see how words as old as sin, fit me like a glove.
I'm here and here I'll stay.

Romney or Paul that should be a very easy choice for all of the tea patriers.

It's possible that only 1 of those candidates are left when they arrive in VA. It's possible that IA. SC, and VT are so lopsided that lesser candidates drop out.
My beef is: what gives IA, SO, or VT the right to go before VA? Think about it. They have the ability to have lopsided results and your candidate drops out before coming to VA.
I don't have the solution, but, I think you understand my point.

As an update to this story. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/jud ... story.htmlJudge told Perry and the others they should have contested the requirements before the due date not after. So at this point it will still only be Romney and Paul on the Presidential Ballot for the VA primary.
