if that isnt tax deductible (doesn't seem to say) Anyway, the rich should pay more-as a matter of law.

No, I don't think these very successful, intelligent men are "dim". I think they just get what I said; they have the responsibility to pay their fair share. How can they agree with me when Marxism calls for the total removal of private capital from society? How does one tax that which does not exist? Marxism/Communism is not socialism, as socialism is not capitalism. All three are distinct and hate the other two.

How is that mathematically possible?
It is mathematically possible if the top 1% of earners pay more than 50% of the total personal income tax burden. My info has the top 1% paying 38% of the total income tax burden, but it's a little dated: http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.htmlBTW, the bottom 50% of earners only pay 2.7% of to total income tax burden.
Bullshit it is not mathematically impossible...I just spent an hour analyzing data on the IRS site...here's the link to the table I used... http://www.irs.gov/taxstats/indtaxstats ... 14,00.html --- Table 2 -- 2008 Subtracting total refunded from total tax liability.... The top 1% paid 46% of the total federal income taxes collected in 2008....And it isnt impossible for them to pay more...most of the lower brackets pay nothing and get refunds to boot...its all in the numbers... Even if the top 1% dont pay more than everyone else put together for the top 1% to pay 46% of the total tax revenue stream is staggering especially when liberal/progressive twits are screaming for the rich to pay their fair share....seems to me they are paying more than their fair share...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Ah, using a quite about a separate group of men (Warren Buffet and his ilk) but putting it with the Communist Quartet, so it looks like I was praising them. Faux news has schooled you well young jedi.

To argue for increased taxes; and not be setting the example by voluntarily paying more oneself, is hypocritical and dishonest; whether it is Buffett, Soros, Kreutz, Obama or anyone else. If they are honestly convinced that the so called 'rich' should pay more taxes, then they would themselves be paying more already. Doesn't need another thousand word epistle on this forum or another speech from BHO - just do it before you say you want the government to collect it under weight of law.

Its amazing how quickly progressive/liberal/socialists disengage from the "debate" when presented with facts gathered from the very government they so dearly love...
Sigh. You, earlier wrote:Btw, IRS data reveals that the top 1% of taxpayers currently pay more than then lower 99% all added together
Here is the problem. Now lets say the top 1% really are paying 46%. 46% is less than 51%, so, they are not paying more than everyone else together. Everyone else is thus paying 54%, which I'm fairly certain is more than 46%, so how are "99% all added together" paying less when 54% is greater than 46%?

I'm not a twit. I'm just saying you chose your words poorly the first time. Btw, IRS data reveals that the top 1% of taxpayers currently pay more than then lower 99% all added together
Its just mathematically incorrect-with the numbers you yourself provided. If the top 1% were paying 51% you would have been correct, but they're not. Dont sweat it lol.

I'm sure some of you want the Federal government to have more income and therefore are willing to contribute, so if you want to set the example for the rich, or anyone else, to pay higher taxes; here is how you can do it without being forced to do so by an act of Congress: http://www.fms.treas.gov/faq/moretopics_gifts.htmlPlease let us all know when you send in your meaningful donation - so we can all thank and congratulate you. We anxiously await your donation. President Obama and all the good and worthy Democrats, along with their billionaire friends (Gates, Buffett, Soros, et al), may have already sent in their donations to set the example for the rest of us and just chose to be modest and not tell us about it.
