Let's see if the other Republicans help him out or if they make it nothing but a symbolic gesture by killing/ignoring everything he proposes...like they have in the past.

I agree ,let;s hope the Repubs are smart enough to realize they are under the microscope as of Novembers election and will be unceremoniously tossed out on their collective butt if they fall back into their old habits while ignoring the very people who they work for that put them in office in the first place,,,,,,

My concern is that if they do fall back into old habits, most conservatives will simply vote in the same ol' Republicans again instead of actual Constitutionalists. Kinda how many liberals vote in the same ol' Democrats instead of Constitutionalists.

I'll put this question out to the conservatives on this board, and it's a very serious one.

If you see the Republicans, for whom you traditionally have voted, going back to "business as usual", do you really have the conviction not to vote for them again? Do you really have the strength of character to take that stand? I ask because as a liberal, I had the strength of character to do this regarding the Democrats, for whom I very often voted years ago.

So, do you?

Yes I do, and Have in the past ... They have a 2 year trial period that will give the voters and the Tea Party a nice evaluation period to scrutinize their actions to see just how "sincere" they are gonna be,,,,I still think as long as Obama is in the White House it;s gonna be like pissing into a strong wind to get something done but that's the game and how its played. If the Repubs play well they'll be rewarded,,Screw up and they're toast!!!

Yes. I voted against Republican in this last election (last month) for exactly that reason. Couldn't vote for the Democrat either, so I voted for a third party candidate who while not perfect, he was the most principled candidate. I did that knowing full well that that third party would not win. I did the same thing for the last presidential election too.

I guess I'm missing something here...Ron Paul is probably the biggest critic of the fed. I think and hope he would expose and air all of the dirty laundry...or do you think otherwise.

I agree 100%.

I was being cheeky by pointing out that certain politicians and members of the Fed/commerical banks probably have other thoughts on how good of a choice Ron Paul is.

Yes I do and in the 2008 election I could not and would not vote for McCain or Obama and found the Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin more in line with my values. This last election I did vote for Keith Fimian for his views on the 2A and i wanted Connolly out of office.

I owe no allegiance to either the Democrats or the Republicans and feel that one is just as bad as the other and will say and do anything to get into Power.

I am Glad to see that the Republicans did not get the Senate!

There needs to be some sort of Check's and Balance in what is going on. The best place for the Republicans is the House as that is where the Spending bills originate.

I would like to see a Presidential Candidate for 21012 that actually likes America and has a strong backbone and hopefully in 2012 there will be a candidate that I can get behind and support.

I think it's going to be great having him chair the committee. It will be fun to watch the fireworks.
