Re: 8mm Kurtz build

First off I found this coming out this year, preorders now. https://www.hmgunworks.com/product/hmg-sturmgewehr-standard-length-223/ Ok so after a long thought about this whole thing I have come to the conclusion it is possible, very very possible. So I am going to dump all the info on this build rig...

Re: "Gun Guys"

I get a laugh (you have to laugh or you'd get steamed) by what we call the "gun buddy" character at gun shows. He is the friend or family member of a new firearm buyer who is the appointed "expert". His approval will make or break the sale. Some of these "gun buddies" ...

Re: "Gun Guys"

What Ironbear posted is helpful... short answer is, your coworker is an idiot. Idiot, no I wouldn't go that far, just no where near as knoweldgable as he should be for his level of trigger time on an M4/AR15/10 weapon system. He was taught wrong, but seems willing to learn. Now I do have some tuely...

8mm Kurtz build

So A long time ago like 10 years ago I was all hey I'm going to build an 8mm Kurtz Ar15, posted on a forum, some "gun expert" told me it was impossible and to forget it, so I did. My knowledge has grown vastly about the AR platform in the last 10 years. However I don’t know everything. SO ...

"Gun Guys"

So I have this coworker, now I know what he said is wrong, but I have to make sure that I am not crazy or have missed something in the last year of AR development...... " AR10 and AR15 same rifle, I have the 15 lower already, and it's my end goal to put a custom built AR10 upper on it and throw...

Re: 7.62x39 AR build or complete rifle purchase

If you are going to buy, spend the proper money on the CMMG Mutant, hands down the best prebuilt you can buy, reminder it is based off the AR10 more so than the AR15...... But I would say build it, so much more rewarding in the end. Not to mention the look the smug anti 7.62x39 AR purists get on the...

Re: 25 THINGS YANKEES SHOULD KNOW WHEN MOVING TO THE SOUTH

I'm from NY and NYC is not how the rest of the state is. 45 min outside of NYC, "no traffic driving" or fantasy land , and everyone has a gun. There are good ol boys in NY too. A good portion of NY is lakes and farmland. Flipping the bird to someone is a greeting. We can drive 80mph and a...

Not sure to laugh and shake my head, or cringe...... Either way we should just remove all the warning labels on things and let the world sort itself out.

Re: What caliber for my wife?

If I have my two cents here. I have just gone threw all of this with my wife who is 4'11" and 124 pounds. After going threw guns in .45 ACP, .40, 10mm, 9mm and .380 for weapon comfort, ease of use, recoil controll, ease of carry and maintainece she settled on a Bersa .380. So my advice is have ...

Feed issues

So I got that Bersa(Series 95 .380), and while it fires true and accurate, I am having a feed issue on the stock Bersa mag. It will feed shoot and eject the first 4 rounds, then on the 5th round it will fail to feed from the mag to the breach? Now I have bought an after market mag for it, and it see...

Re: 7.62x39 Match Grade

LoL. Well, you know... it's match grade... So it's gonna be more. Hahaha. Unless you competing, I don't see the point. Especially when the AK47 was engineered for 1.5 MOA performance. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://vagunforum.net/images/mobile.png Well seeing as it is an AR47(not an AK) Buil...

Re: 7.62x39 Match Grade

Three or four years ago, when guys on another forum were going to the SIG 556R as a replacement for AK47's they posted videos of ringing steel targets at 600 yds. with those (scoped) Sig 556R and Lapua 7.62X39 ammo. They mentioned several times that in their testing it was the most accurate/consist...

G2 Rip whose carrying, thoughts?

Just picked up some for my EDC .45ACP, and the woman's .380 CC. So while I realize this a semi low penetration round designed for home/self defence in the home, what are y'alls thoughts on it? Has anyone shot anything with it? Any general thoughts on its concept/ performance? [ Post made via Mobile ...
