Lost in LeesburgHey guys,
Brand new owner of a g26, gen 4 9mm in Leesburg, VA/ Richmond during college "season." I'm on the fast track to a federal law enforcement career and excited to start on my weapons experience. Looking for advice, information, new friends. Also, will be looking to obtain concealed carry soon enough. - j "That fire in her eyes

Re: Lost in LeesburgI found your website and I plan on taking some courses with you after the new year. Was wondering what the advantages are with the Utah carry permit vs. the specific virginia one. More jurisdiction?

Re: Lost in Leesburg
Thanks for checking out our site. Taking the Utah class will not only give you the certificate that you can use to apply for a Va. permit, but you also get the certification you need to apply to Utah for their non-resident permit. A Utah non-res permit gives you 5 more states that you can carry in: Washington State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia and Alabama. ![]() http://www.ProactiveShooters.com NRA Certified Instructor Utah State Certified Instructor NRA Membership Recruiter NRA RTBAV Instructor NRA Range Safety Officer "Make your gun go to work, and carry every day!"
Re: Lost in LeesburgInteresting. Not sure if I plan on being around those states anytime soon, but I could see how for the prices in classes, if you travel that way a lot, it'd be worth it.

Re: Lost in Leesburg
Most people get the Utah permit for Georgia. If you are traveling to Florida, your Va. permit is good from here to there, with the exception of Georgia. ![]() http://www.ProactiveShooters.com NRA Certified Instructor Utah State Certified Instructor NRA Membership Recruiter NRA RTBAV Instructor NRA Range Safety Officer "Make your gun go to work, and carry every day!"
Re: Lost in LeesburgThat'd definitely be what I need, then. Thanks!

Re: Lost in Leesburgif you are looking for a close practice range to Leesburg, check out Silver Eagle Group, it is just north of Waxpool Road of Loudoun County Parkway
Re: Lost in LeesburgI'll check into it. What is the deal with Izaac Walten? It's so close to my house I can hear them shoot if the wind is blowing.
