Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Greetings All!

I really like this group and forum. I retired from the Army military police well over a decade ago and honestly I've missed my comrades in arms and you all help fill the niche for me. I quit carrying when I retired from the Army but I've felt the need to carry a couple of times and finally decided to go the CC route. I'd appreciate tips and pointers. I'll probably start out with a FN P40 with a waist holster and a behind the back snubby revolver for the times when the P40 won't work. The downside of the P40 for me is that it doesn't have a manual active safety. I also have a trusty Walther P1/P38 that I'd like to carry if anyone has figured out good ways to carry it.

Hunting ground is a sacred topic for me since I'm a "come-here" to this area. So far the Phelps WMA is the only game in town for me. I do like it but am looking for other options. I am interested in the NVA club. And I'm always looking for a good place where I can both shoot handguns and long guns.
