Folks we are nearing election day for our next governor and as Americans we have the right to vote. 3 November 2009 is the day !!!!!! MARK YOUR CALENDARThe time is now and the day is almost upon us. IMO some of the most important issues are: - Make sure you are registered and know where to vote - the deadline for registering is 29 days prior to the election. If you're not registered now you need to hurry!!!!! Sorry, but that is the law (Code of Virginia §§ 24.2-416). Here's the website if you need more information: http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/cms/Voter_I ... gistration- Encourage your family, friends, neighbors, etc to register and vote - Get informed about the candidates - Support your choice of candidate in any way you can - knock on doors, make phone calls, send e-mails, volunteer, donate, help people get registered, drive people to the polls, etc - VOTEEach candidate has a web site and its easy to find info. If you need help - please ask. Here's is the wiki link. I post it since it does show statistics concerning fund raising, polls, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_g ... tion,_2009
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Great post Zephyp The time has come for all of us to unite. yesterday around1.5 million went to Washinton DC. This is just the tip. For every one person in DC there was 10 at home who wanted to be there. For everyone in DC yesterday there was 5/10 who knew nothing about it. We need to spread the word. Monday at 5PM watch Glenn Beck on Fox News and you will see how we as a nation can defeat this corupation in Washinton. We need to do this for us, our children and grandchildren. We need our country and constitution back!!!! Folks it is 1770's and you are being called to arms, telephone and voting booth arms NOT firearms ARE YOU GOING TO ANSWER THE CALL

You are registered and there is nothing else you must do UNLESS 1. You move in which case you must re-register/change address or 2. the post office/locality changes your street address (because of E911 for example) in which case you must re-register/change address. It took them 8 years though before they figured out I hadn't submitted a change of address when we got a new E911 address. I expect you'd have to re-register if you changed your name also.

Thanks for posting this out there everybody. Just like the subject implies, this is "Critical Information". You can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be voting. Probably even working the Polls. Where ever they need me... Get Out & Vote!

By all means get registered if you haven't already,,That is one of the biggest reasons we're stuck with Obama and his cast of dingbats,, Groups like ACORN went out and helped to register thousands of people who might not ordinarally have voted,, Now with all those additional voters, our side needs to get each and every voter we can to register and get these clowns voted out of Washington.. and in some cases our State too. Particulary the State Senate,,Way too many DEMS there and they hate gun rights ,,,

The responses to VCDL's 2009 Statewide Candidate Survey are now up on the web. http://www.vcdl.org/surveys/Survey_Resu ... ewide.htmlThe Survey Results page also contains a link to the Survey or you can view the survey directly at: http://www.vcdl.org/surveys/survey_2009_statewide.htmlIt's important to contact the candidates: -- Thank Bill Bolling for answering the survey 100% pro-gun. -- For those who answered less than perfect, pick one or two questions, present them with the facts and urge them to reconsider their position. If they didn't answer the survey, that frequently indicates indifference, if not outright hostility, toward YOUR Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Remember, if they are afraid to take a public stand on these issues now, before the election, then they are unlikely to be very responsive to your views after the election. *************************************************************************** VA-ALERT is a project of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc.
