Glad its you HarryHarry Reid (D NV) is feeling the challenge of Tea Party supported Sharon Angle in their run for NV Senator,,,,Reid is finding the challenge and the fact that he may lose his seat very dismaying...Sorry Harry,,, Ya shouldn't tell lies.. This paragraph from a GOA article makes some very solid points about pro vs anti gun. IE: voting for Sotomayer, Kagan,Holder and others while claiming to be pro gun.... Ya listening there Warner and Webb???
"So, Harry, why the long face?" Oh . . . now we understand. New polling results show Democrat leader of the U.S. Senate Harry Reid is at least 3 points down to challenger Sharron Angle. And when you're the Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate, it's very hard to handle the fact you may LOSE your Senate seat on November 2nd. But that's where Harry Reid finds himself. How can this happen? It may be that Reid's constituents have finally realized that every time his mouth is moving, he's telling tall tails. Like when he says he's pro-gun, after casting anti-gun votes more than 42 times in the Senate. And his latest votes may be his worst. You can't vote to confirm Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan to the United States Supreme Court and say you're pro-gun. You can't vote to confirm radical anti-gun Eric holder as U.S. Attorney General and say you're pro-gun. Ain't it the truth?? The rest of the story; http://gunowners.org/a100710.htm ![]()
Re: Glad its you HarryI'm hoping the people of NY rally the troops and vote that hyprocrite insult to the nation out along with the rest of trash

Re: Glad its you HarryA friend of mine was running the numbers yesterday. With Wisconsin in play, he thinks the GOP can grab the Senate as well. It's gone from "not-possible" to "a long-shot". With continuing bad economic news, this could become "a foregone conclusion".
Re: Glad its you Harry
As long as New York is New York, Schumer is a senator for life. Gillibrand is on the rocks though. Supposedly Carolyn McCarthy is also in trouble. Hopefully the shoulder things that go up won't rescue her at the last minute.
Re: Glad its you Harry
If I lived in NV and knew for a fact that my one vote would avoid this I would cast it for reid with one hand while holding my nose with the other... No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Re: Glad its you Harry
This is true, most New Yorkers (including myself) either thought he was running unopposed or didn't know the challengers name. I didn't even know he was up for reelection. I only heard ads for Gillibrand (who did a 180 on gun control after being appointed to the Senate sadly). No idea who she ran against either.
Re: Glad its you HarryThat's pretty much a norm for candidates that are not under any duress from a strong challenger,,, IMHO it sucks that someone hasn;t been able to unseat some of that old dug in Demo and Repop garbage in the Senate and the House. This election did a pretty good job of it though,,, Next elections we need to continue the trend and in meantime keep the full court press on the new majority members to let them know we are awake and they are one election away from being booted out on their ass if they resort back to the same old same old...

Re: Glad its you Harry
I haven't seen the numbers for incumbent return in this past election, but I'd be surprised if the rate was below 80%. With all the ways the system is rigged, from financing to gerrymandering to outright fraud, it's very unusual for an incumbent to fail to achieve reelection in this country.
