CC Does Not Equal More Crime

This column cites stats showing that concealed carry does not lead to more crime - which I believe is true. What it does not cite is how often gun owners use their firearms to defend themselves, their families, etc.

I bet if we knew the real stats on how often privately owned firearms PREVENT crime and save lives, the "gun control" argument would be over.

How many times in your life have you or someone you know used a firearm in a righteous manner to defend yourself and/or others? The answer will probably surprise you.

No, it wouldn't. Gun control has nothing to do with crime and never has. Crime is just what the controllers wave at the public to distract them from the actual agenda, which is elimination of private ownership of firearms, and to play on their fears which makes them willing to give up pretty much anything if it'll make them feel like they're safe.

Even taking away the "guns cause crime" motif would just cause them to move to a new strategy, like they did with the Mexican Gun Canard. If you can't get domestic support for the AWB, invent an international justification for it.

They don't quit. They can't. They won't. Until they're all gone or we are, they will keep trying.

Bottom line is gun control is about...well, control. Gun control activists dont care about criminals. They want to take guns away from us because they know they cant take them from criminals. They simply cannot bear the thought that we have something they dont think we should have.

Kinda like some non smokers...they wont rest until its completely illegal to smoke...period...control...exerting their will over others.

Like bloomberg in NTC...going after trans fat, salt, sugar drinks, etc. Why? Because those things are bad for you? No, merely because he doesnt want others to have them...

Gun control is simply about control. Nothing more and nothing less...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...
